DOUBLE CHECK MODEL NUMBERS!!! It fits an old ksm500 lift stand perfect. For the other reviewers who say one side doesn't fit right, you have to click in the back side all the way down OR they probably ordered the wrong bowl for their mixer.

It is so wonderful to have an additional bowl for my mixer...I used to have to stop in the middle of a project to wash the bowl, but now I just get out the second bowl. It fits my 5 qt mixer perfectly, works great. Be advised, it does have a shiny finish, unlike the bowls that come standard with the mixer. So, things like water droplets and fingerprints show up more, but you just have to be careful when cleaning it. And I actually prefer the shiny finish!

I recently received my mom's 25 year old kitchen aid. The only problem was my dad couldn't locate the bowl. No big deal I thought I'll simply pick up a replacement. That turned out to be not as easy as I thought! First I can't believe how expensive these bowls are! Local stores seemed to price them at $50 and up! Amazon had by FAR the best price and all things considered is a pretty fair price at just under $40. Thankfully I wasn't in dire need of a bowl and could wait for one to be shipped and having an Amazon Prime membership meant the wait would be really short. A few other reviewers had already done the research to tell me that THIS bowl was for my mom's mixer (KSM5). I double checked to be extra sure and placed my order. When the bowl came in, well it's a bowl! It's a nice bowl to be sure, well made polished outside, brushed interior those looking to display their KA will have to watch out for fingerprints! Mine now sits under a KitchenAid KACC1WH Quilted Cover with Pocket, Whiteso that is not a concern. The bowl fits perfectly and does what it's supposed to do. So if you need a replacement bowl or are looking for a second bowl (I'm now hoping the original turns up!) double check to make sure this is the bowl for mixer and then place your order here at Amazon to get the best price around.

Well, I have had my KitchenAid for awhile now. My parents have three girls and I'm the only one with a knack for baking and cooking (I'm the middle child) so I was ecstatic when they got it for me from Sam's club one Christmas. It was an extravagant purchase as my parents are very frugal. It is a beast and weighs a ton! Anyway, my daughter's 7th birthday is coming up and I foolishly bought a glass one at Walmart. I began scouring Amazon for another bowl as I could really use two and stumbled across this one. It is beautiful and looks exactly like my other one. Looks can be deceiving though because as you can see--the fit is off by at least a half of an inch. I'm so disappointed as I read other reviews and even checked the description to make sure it would fit. I also made sure my bowl wasn't bent or anything and it is obvious that it isn't my mixer or old bowl. I hate to return this as I desperately need an extra one to bake my daughter's cake Friday. Back to the drawing board.

Stainless steel is perfect for all the baking.

The bowl itself is sturdy, tge pegs to put the bowl on don’t really match up easily. Not sure why as it is the same as the one that came with the Kitchen Aid set.

A second bowl and beater are handy when you want to keep mixing and baking.

The provider would not give me a refund for returning te bowl and it has been of no use to my daughterthat I purchased it for.
