Smells so good!!!
If you’re looking for star anise that is strong selling - this is it! Used in summer pot gifts and for myself - the smell is SO nice - fills the whole house. Pair in a simmer pot with a cinnamon stick or two and you have an instant home fragrance without any unnatural fragrances attached. Cannot speak to cooking with it though.

Tastes terrible for star anise
The product is fresh and smells ok but the taste isn't good like the star anise I buy at our local health store. It lacks the delicious licorice flavor and tastes more like medicine. Even sweetened with honey it tastes bad. I can only guess the taste is off due to the soil it's grown in. Too bad because the price is fair considering it's organically grown, but I can't order this again and I can't recommend it.
