If you're looking for a low cal past substitute - that's the answer! By no means it tastes like regular pasta...it's kind of slime and has almost no taste to it but if you're a volume eater or on a cut it's a great choice. I like to use in any Asian inspired dishes along with a regular rice noodles. It works perfectly for any kind of Asian inspired soups as it mixes well with rice noodles. For Italian inspired pasta dishes, ehh you will feel more of a difference in texture. I believe it's easier to get used the taste being gluten free (as myself) as your tastes buds are used to different tastes and textures. My husband is not gluten free he cant get passed the texture.

I prefer the angel hair ones. Good For on the go easting where i can heat up the sauce and just ad the noodles.

I love these for my peanut noodles! Have not tried them as straight pasta

Just opened one bag, rinsed and cooked it in the microwaved as I had with the box I'd bought prior from Costco. It was inedibly hard! Cardboard that could not be chewed. Please tell me what I should have done differently or if there is something wrong with this? I have all the other bags that I am afraid to cook. Please instruct, or refund. thanks.

First, I think you need to temper your expectations when trying this product. It’s not going to taste even remotely like traditional wheat spaghetti. If you set your expectations accordingly, I think this is a great product. I use these noodles with peanut and curry sauces and they provide volume and have a neutral taste, making them a good vessel for sauce, veggies, and protein. That being said, I experienced inconsistency in texture in the order I most recently received. The noodles should be plump and moist upon opening the package; one of the packages I received had thin and crunchy noodles that did not rehydrate upon cooking. For the price, I would expect the product to be consistent.

I have had shirataki noodles before and been frustrated by the wetness and slightly bitter flavor. I tried to temper my expectations here and follow the instructions to dry them as well as I could.I was not disappointed! I toasted the noodles at medium heat for ~10 min while I cooked other stuff and then cut them in the pan to make them even easier to eat. I have used this method a few times now and the results are pretty consistent.They are almost entirely flavorless. While they do not absorb the flavor of your food the way tofu does, the lack of flavor means it does not interfere with whatever you made. No matter how much I toast or cook them, I cannot get the texture exactly how I want it, but that is ultimately not that big a deal, especially if you cut them before adding them to your meal.I think they are perfect for stir fry or other foods with lots of textures and flavoring. I made these with beef, vegetables, and some sauce, and it's amazing. Overall, if you remember these are NOT noodles, just a noodle-like alternative with almost no calories and lots of volume, you will be very satisfied.

I usually love these, but I had to throw 3 packs away because the noodles were dry and not able to eat. I wish I had taken a picture!
