Worked great!
I used these on some old 1940s typewriters. I kept some on the plastic spools they came on and transfered some to metal spools instead. Popped right in and worked well! Didn't punch holes right through it.Keep in mind I don't use the typewriters regularly but these worked well for our sporadic use and regular testing as I tinkered.

How cool is it that these things are still made?!?!Okay, so if you don’t know how to use a type writer, and you run out of tape, you just turn it upside and keep rotating it until there’s no more ink.The lower case gets blotchy. The ink is a little heavy at first but then I’ve never used a type writer with fresh ink before. It dries rather quickly and is super easy to use.The ribbon seems durable enough to withstand with mechanical punches of my old type writer.

Either horribly dry or completely ink-less
Just tried to use these to replace a ribbon and it seems like there's no ink. It fit on the spools but it doesn't type at all, not even a shadow of ink. I could even tell when I opened them that the ribbons are completely dry. I'm very disappointed but they were cheap and I guess I can try re-inking them but that is not what I was expecting when I bought them. I could just re-ink the original vintage ribbon in that case because these are also cheap quality. Zero stars if I could.

Works as intended, but prone to damage during shipping.
Ribbons work great in my ‘38 Underwood Universal. However, the spools appear to be very brittle as one set came broken.
