This was a gift for my wife. Here's her input: I'm new to drawing and fell in love with ink and wash. This was a gift and I just love it! I haven't used the ink that it came with, but with my regular ink and it works well. It is easy to clean, too! I'm a little nervous taking it out and putting it back in the box, so I'll make something easier so I don't risk breaking it. It is a joy to use and puts out a consistent flow. I did realize that if I move the pen faster the line is thinner and the slower I moved the thicker the line. I hope you enjoy yours!

I am a pen and paper enthusiasts and was looking to try out a glass dip pen. I’ve never used dip pens before but do have cartridge based fountain pens. This pen lays down ink the best on my Midori MD cotton paper and original Tomoe River paper (2022). The others don’t work so well, but that’s due to the paper. This is a great option to try a glass dip pen for an inexpensive price but know that the paper is where your results will shine. I will buy more of these and experiment with other inks. I didn’t realize the ink that came with the purple pen (is more blue than purple) was purple ink, I love it! The bottle is a bit messy as it has a cap and rubber plug top. This is a very cool set!

Lovely glass pen. Sturdy, rinses well, and easy to hold as well as work with. The bottle of ink can be a tad messy to deal with, but it works well.

This is such a great glass pen this is my first time purchasing a glass pan I've seen it all over YouTube TikTok just about anywhere where you have people who are artists. You're going to find someone that's using a glass pen to either write or draw or just about do anything that's artsy. I wanted to purchase one and I seen there were many for different prices I wasn't really for sure what to pick I didn't want to invest a lot into something that I may or may not use long-term I tried this one because it has a great price and also this one I purchased came with beautiful purple ink. To my surprise I didn't realize that the purple ink would be glittery I don't have any pictures of it now but when I used it I noticed that it was very sparkly and it had a glitter inside the ink. What I will majorly be using this pin for is to write in my journals manifestation things of that nature and it's perfect and very magical The glass pen reminds me of a wand and the purple glittery ink is perfect for that high vibrational manifestation journaling I think it's a great price plus I haven't had any problems.

So prof. Artist 30+. work in pen and ink, mixed media, etc...If you have experence with pen and ink metal nibs that you have to dip, that's a bonus here. I love these pens! Have more then one set. The flow of ink is smooth. They are beautiful and make wonderful gifts. If your a beginer...The fed for the ink comes from the sprial design on the tip of the pen. Advise I give all my students: start by testing the pen on differnt paper. Never start cold on what you intend to make your final piece. Do not lick the nib many inks contain heavy metals. These pens are glass and will break with too much pressure. Find a postion that works for both you and the pen. Experment. Make sure to clean the pen head between colors or when finished. Wipe with a soft cloth and replace the protector it came with before storing. Just as a side note, if you misplace the protector that came with the pen, a number of the silcon reuable straws will work as well. Just find the right size and trim to fit.

I bought a nice journal off of Etsy with paper that is made to look old. I thought it would be appropriate to use a fountain pen. I've never used one. I did read the reviews first and highly recommend that because someone actually explained how there is a technique to use these type of pens. I am happy to say in the times I've used it that It's been successful. First, this comes with quite a few different colors. Now, it can be a bit messy when you're setting up but that's not a deal breaker for me. I got a little bit of ink on my fingers opening the little jar. Overall, it was smooth sailing after that. I was able to write about 10 sentences on the same "dip". The glass pen itself is just cool looking. I used a cotton pad to clean the ink of the pen when i was finished and it's good for another use. I probably didn't need so many colors but the price was good for this and a variety is always good. I'd highly recommend this if you're needing a fountain pen set. Just be sure to check and see how they are to be used so you don't break anything .

I've had a career in art for 40+ years using a multitude of media, but this is my first glass pen. In this set the pen and the stand seem to be quite good for the price it is the ink that is the issue. I've not tried any of my good inks as of yet, but I suspect when I get the pen to my office with some good ink and paper it will do quite well. I'd recommend this pen to give the glass dip pen process a try just plan on getting a better quality ink to enjoy the overall experience.

I am left handed, so some pens don’t perform the same or as well for someone that’s right handed. This pens flow is great, it glides and is fun to use. This is a great gift, too!
