Our 3 year old loves make up...but can't be trusted with make up, because she's three. Someone gave her one of those dollar store make up kits and it was a nightmare. It was like grease paint and it got everywhere! So I needed something to entertain her love of makeup without having to worry about her painting the entire house with grease paint. This is a great solution! She loves the brushes and lipstick and has even taken them into the bath. I don't know how well the foam will hold up with the water exposure, but I don't need it to last forever so I'm not worried. It didn't seem to take on that much water. That said, it seems pretty sturdy and I love that the clasps on the cases have little extensions on them that make it easy for her to open herself. Once she seems to grasp the concept of not coloring her entire face with the play lipstick, perhaps I will try some supervised time with a washable set of makeup, but for now this is perfect. She carries the little bag around everywhere and even tried to show the guy at the pizza place her new makeup. :)

I purchased this for my 3 year old who is constantly asking me to 'do her makeup.' And she LOVES this set. The brushes are super soft and I love that they already have 'makeup' on them so it looks like she's actually applying it. The lipstick is her favorite part, she 'applies' it 50 times a day. The 3 small compacts are cute and the foam inserts are snug and well adhered so it looks like real makeup, and I love that the nail polish opens and has a brush! I originally bought another, cheeper set for her that was much lower quality and I returned it to purchase this one instead. Just like the real thing. Definitely worth the price, I almost wish I had gotten the larger set that they make.One negative thing to note, the photo includes an eyebrow brush (making the set include 9 pieces plus the bag), but the set I received didn't include that brush.UPDATE: I changed my review from 4 to 5 stars because I contacted the seller regarding the missing eyebrow brush and they shared that the set no longer includes it, but were happy to work with me to resolve the issue. Seriously great customer service, I'll look for products from them in the future since I know they'll work to quickly fix any issues I might have.

My 2.5 year old daughter has been playing with her "makeup" for a few weeks now and absolutely loves it! It looks and feels very realistic, and I honestly don't think she realizes she's not actually putting on real makeup. The quality is better than I expected. The foam is very hard with a pattern pushed into it, so it looks like the real stuff. It doesn't come out of its container and you can't push your finger/nail into it where it would break. I appreciate that the glittery compact is very well glued and not a single piece of glitter has broken or come off. The storage bag keeps all the pieces together and moves around the house very easily with her. The compacts are difficult to open but once my daughter is a little older I'm sure she'll be able to open it by herself. The brushes are quite soft and don't poke or scratch her face at all like some play brushes have.The only reason I took away a star was because of the lipstick. The wooden "lipstick" came unglued from its container and fell out. It was easily fixed with a hot glue gun and works just fine now, but for the price I would have expected an extra dot of glue holding the lipstick in place to insure it stayed put.Overall I am happy with this purchase. I would purchase it again and would recommend it to anyone with little girls who want to be like mommy and put on makeup.

This very smart three year old girl wants to apply makeup just like her mother & aunties.When we'd go shopping she'd always nag for her own makeup. There is no way we were going to allow her to have real make up, but when we stumbled over this "pretend" make-up that wasn't actually makeup to apply onto her face, we were thrilled.She bought into it like we had given her a pot of gold!! What a wonderful gift this turned out to be.Thank you so much!!I absolutely "100%" recommend this to anyone wanting to let their little ones enjoy role playing like their mother, but not wanting chemicals on their childs skin.The price point was the key for me. I never would have paid more than the almost $12 dollars as an experiment, that may not have satisfied this little girls desire to copy the adult females in her life. It was a risk that turned out a to be a joyful success. Everyone happy about it.

My daughter is always watching me do my “makeup! it’s makeup mommy!” HAHA. And always trying to grab my brushes and eye shadow palettes. I usually give in with a brush or two! Her 3rd birthday needed to be extra special since we couldn’t have a party. I knew pretend makeup was top on the list! When I was looking up some sort of play makeup kit, I truthfully had no idea they had realistic makeup without the mess!! It looks totally real. The eye shadows in this toy kit FEEL real as well. The brush is an actual brush/eyeshadow brush. The nail polish has real bristles, too! It’s super cute. The only downside is I wish it came with more! 😆Truthfully the only thing I disliked were that the eye shadow and glitter shadow are hard to open. My daughter needed help opening it every time. Other then that, it’s totally cute and totally worth it.

If you have a child that sits by you And goes through your bag when you’re doing your makeup, this is for them! If you have a girly girl, this is for them! My daughter is totally obsessed with this product. When my friends come over they’re convinced it’s real makeup at first glance. It’s very believable especially with the pink tip in the brush. She knew, some how, where every product goes. It’s so precious to watch her pucker her lips as she uses the lipstick and lip gloss. She even gets to put “makeup” on her stuffed animals, daddy, and doggy. Best gift and very good quality for the money.
