I purchased this when I remembered my brother using it to fix a stripped screw.I have a fan that has the center cover which holds the blades in and the cover’s screw was, you guessed it, stripped.The cover would fall off and the fan would get really loud. So we were unable to use it for white noise while we slept. After getting this in mail I wrapped it around the screw behind the cover and then screwed it back on so the blades would stay in place.I had to tell myself that I was extremely brilliant! It worked perfectly to solve my problem. The fan is working like it should, quiet and peaceful, by blocking out the noise from nearby neighbors in the apartment complex and allowing us to sleep.So if you want to have something that is inexpensive and convenient to have for quick repairs for stripped screws or other plumbing issues then this is something I would recommend to have on hand.Also for those who have never used this item before I would recommend having a pair of scissors on hand to cut the tape as it doesn’t tear like regular tape. It stretches out and will not tear. I ended up wasting a bit when I tried to tear it instead of using scissors. So use scissors and don’t make the same mistake I did.

You can rip other tapes with your fingernail without effort when you buy cheap tape. This one is thick and more robust, so it is a good buy. I hate when the tape falls apart when you are putting the fittings together. This one did not do that. I placed one in each work kit.

The thickness of the teflon is really, really thin. Thinner than other brands. It works fine but it requires more wrapping when in use.

This 8-pack set is excellent low-cost backup for reel I've had for years. When a water-tight seal is needed as in shower heads to shower nipple extending from wall, it is indispensable. The tape is ideal for those who don't wish to deal with pastes & putty applied from cans with brushes that Pro Plumbers use. And there is no smell, as there sometimes is with pastes & putty. Women users will find this especially appealing, both for no mess on human skin & no smell. Also, the tape does not require gloves for applying. And, it won't "dry out", as it would with paper masking tape.
