OneSpace Eleanor Executive Desk Wood Grain, Espresso

The box this came in was very heavy and it was a little beat up. But the contents were fine. I had the entire thing built in about 3.5 hours. I took my time and everything went very smoothly. This isn't so complicated that you need more than one person. Honestly, I had fun.My only three complaints would be that two of the specialized screws that came in were warped and a little difficult to workaround. But it was feasible. The other would be that the provided drawer handle didn't align correctly to the predrilled holes. This made it difficult and uncomfortable to attached it. Since it was made of a sturdy metal I couldn't just bend it into the shape I needed. Thankfully I had the right kind of tools to fix this. If you don't a new store-bought handle would probably work just fine. The last problem was that the bottoms of the drawers were a little long.That's it. I really like my new desk! The outlets are convenient. The drawers a decent size. The wood is nice and sturdy..

For the price, this is a wonderful desk! It does come in a lot of pieces, but honestly it seems like half the pieces were just for the drawers. I was deeply impressed with the utter thoroughness and clarity of the instructions for assembly. Assembly was NOT difficult. Having a second person is incredibly helpful, especially when putting the top on. My kudos to the lady with the extremely entertaining review about putting it together herself in about three hours thanks to enjoying wine and furniture assembly together (lol). This took about an hour, but only because my daughter and I weren't bothering to hurry. It's a very nice size if you have a small or tricky space that cannot handle something larger or a full size hutch. The dark wood laminate was also surprisingly nice and it came with quality metal hardware for the drawer handles. The added power plug at the back of the 'hutch' is sturdy, comes with a nice thick cord, and has so far worked perfectly well. If you're looking for something sturdy on a budget, this is a perfect choice.

I bought this as a temporary desk to replace one that was on its last legs. My home needs may change within the next year or so, and as a result I wanted a desk that was functional, matched my current home office furniture, and could easily be resold to recoup a large percentage of the original investment. In those ways, the desk succeeds - it matches my other Espresso-colored furniture from a major home-goods store and it was assembled by one person in less than two hours. Based on the desk's sturdiness and generally classic design, I'm sure I'll get a large portion of my money back when I resell it, provided I take good care of it. The desk loses stars for me because of the strange design. The desktop overhangs the back legs of the desk by an inch and half (3.81 cm) and then the power strip that attaches to the back of the hutch extends beyond that by an additional inch (2.54 cm). In total, this means that the desk has to be moved away from the wall and into the room by at least 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) - that's a big space in a small room. The hardware also feels and looks inexpensive. If you're considering purchasing this unit for long-term use, you'll most-likely want to replace the drawer pulls with something more substantial. Overall, this is a fine (if not great) piece of furniture.

First of all I wanna start out by saying, the box that it’s delivered in is heavy as hell! I’m sure my neighbors watched and laughed at me as I (26F) struggled to get this in my house by myself lmao But honestly, the desk is pretty nice for the price. It did take about 3 hours to complete by myself and also left my back sore and hurting afterwards but oh well lol I like that they give you stickers to cover the large screws that show. The drawers aren’t soft closing so they do slam when you close them but that’s not a huge deal. The color of the desk is pretty too. The plug-ins in the hutch work great as well. It’s a good size desk. All in all I really have no complaints. I’d say it’s worth the purchase!

This product is amazing once it is put together. That being said, I have built my fair share of ikea furniture as well as building my own dining table and coffee bar and let me say that this desk definitely requires two people to assemble. What makes it tricky is the sturdy and heavy individual pieces. As you are assembling and attaching these pieces you need someone to hold the piece aloft and in place. As a result I recommend two people and that you build it were you want it. Again this is a heavy desk once all is complete. I love the finished product though. Especially the bottom drawer being able to hold files like in a filing cabinet.

I love this desk. It's heavy as shet when you get it so you may need help bringing it inside but assembling was super easy with the instructions and so beautiful once completed. The plugs in the desk are awesome, the USB ports are even better. Filing drawer is bigger than I expected and all drawers open smoothly. Desk is very sturdy and does not wiggle or wobble in the slightest if you move or lean on it. This was an excellent purchase.
