A breath of fresh air!
I'm writing this as t1d of 15 years. I have been accustomed to the normal pricking glucometer which is hassle for frequent monitoring especially when you're sugar levels fluctuate and you need to monitor them round the clock for good control. This device is amazing! It is pretty easy to install and use and the best part is the data! You get to see you're estimated A1c readings based on last 14 days readings. You need only scan the sensor and you get the reading! I see complains about the reading not being accurate. I would like to highlight that there is always a margin or error +-10 from what is the actual one which should be acceptable. Only con is the price , I simply cannot afford to have it all the time at the moment. I would ask the abott India team to lower the price by 20-30 % atleast. Also this one does not have the low glocose proactive alarm that only comes with v3 which is yet to release in India.

Stop! Don’t buy! It does not work.
The readings are constantly below that of a glucometer by atleast 40-50 points. It’s dangerous to mislead diabetic patients. We bought this sensor when my mom had a heart surgery and we needed to monitor her blood glucose levels constantly, to use with the Libre link app on android phone. But even after 3-4 days of using the sensor, the readings never stabilized. They are always lower by 40 -50 points.Initially we thought the readings were correct, but when we cross checked with our glicometer, they were way off. This can be dangerous for diabetic patients who think that their numbers are normal. When we reached out to the Abbott customer care, they replaced it saying it’s defective but the second one was the same. We have not seen even one reading match with our glucometers. I can understand a difference of + or- 10 points but what we were seeing was highly misleading. When we asked for a refund they said they will not refund. Also, please note this thing works only for 14 days annd they have an 3 day stabilization period! Adding to that the price is outrageous for this product with such bad performance. It’s outright cheating!

A great CGM for health conscious diabetes
This is my 2nd sensor and I must say it has been extremely helpful to monitor and regulate my sugar levels. Also stay tuned for a small tip to extend the sensor life by about 12hrs at the end.The best part of this sensor has been the abilty to understand how my body processes food and prevents going lows. I have learnt how my sugars fluctate at night and how they work during the day. How my sugar responds to when I go running was something I always wondered since I run a lot and before it was not possible to check my glucose during workouts. The sticker of the sensor is very good and sticks well with no discomfort or itch. The sensor application too is painless and pressing on the sensor after application too does not cause any pain. I was initially worried the sensor may get loose when turning in bed during sleep, but no it holds very good. Taking showers is also no problem. Now the tip to extend the sensor life by half a day. I realised the sensors life is actually pegged at 14.5 days and even after the sensor has expired as per the reader its still continues to work. You can install the GLIMP app on your Android phone (no iOS app) and still get the reading for another 12 odd hours. It's a great buy for all diabetes but I am not happy with the reader, the review of which I have left on the reader product page. Read that too to get a complete picture of the system and how to live it.

Doesn’t last 14 days
I have bought and used atleast 6 sensors. I am giving it a 1 star because the sensor does not last for a full 2 weeks like it says. It usually lasts for 9 or 10 days and that’s why I think it’s a scam. The product itself is good and very easy to use. I enjoyed using it to monitor my glucose and understood what foods work for me and what doesn’t m. It’s a good product and for that I’d give it 4.5 stars.

Useful when regular monitoring is required
To all those people who are saying it gives wrong readings or readings that are about 20 units less than actual - please read the pamphlet and understand the working principle behind this sensor properly before passing judgement. It says that since this sensor needle stays in the skin cells (the interstitial space of the cells) it measures the sugar level over there, and not of the blood. The blood sugar is about 20 points higher. So it IS understood that the reading you will get is 20 less than what you would get by taking a strip test, with blood drop. So 70 fasting is not 70, it is actually 90.Secondly, the sensor got stuck at 53 the first time. After a day it said sensor is over. I contacted Abbott Customer Care and they helped me get a replacement sensor, which worked beautifully. After that I have bought 2 more from Amazon and used them. Everytime attaching the sensor is painless and I am able to monitor the sugar levels continuously. Of course, it's expensive but for me it's worth it because my sugar level drops very, very rapidly at night (180 at 12am, to 70 at 3am) and I need to monitor it and eat accordingly. If you can afford it, go ahead. It's simple and convenient. It gives 24hr trends, weekly averages, 24hr min-max range, and of course spot readings. It's helpful if you want to understand your body's response to food and exercise and other activities.

Pricey but very effective!
The LibreLink measures glucose levels of the interstitial fluid and not the blood. The values are not exactly same as those of blood glucose, but pretty close. I have benefitted a lot from this sensor. I’ve purchased 5 of these so far and with the help of constant monitoring, I have been able to bring down my HBA1c from 7.5 to 6.6The only flip side is the price, but this is a valuable investment in one’s health, and I would rather spend on this sensor than spend money on diabetes medications for the rest of my life.
