Defo get it...brill!
Hadn't used an electric shaver for many years but thought maybe try one again....maybe things have got better. They have! Chose this cos it was a good balance of cost and reviews. Not disappointed at all. Really good shave and quick at it as well. Only down point is that it doesn't come with a protective cap but I bought one separately for a fiver and it's great. Totally recommended.

Easy to use, no close shave
I've had an old Philips 1000 electric shaver for years, and I was looking for something with the same convenience, but with a closer shave. The 5000 is easy to use, a single charge lasts a long time, but I probably won't use it as an everyday shaver, as by mid afternoon some stubble is reappearing. It certainly works better for a wet shave, but by the time I've prepared for all that I may as well get a disposable out.On paper, the spec should beat older models, but on chin, I'm not sure this is the case. It will be great for a weekend away, holidays etc, but I'll alternate it with disposables when at home. Good value if a small price tag.

Impressive close shave, but battery needs improvement
I'd been wanting to get this for a while, and. I'm glad I finally did. The shaver gives a really close and smooth shave, and it works well both dry and with shaving cream. The metallic blue design looks sleek, and the precision trimmer is handy for shaping up sideburns and edges. Plus, the soft pouch makes it easy to travel with.On the downside, the battery life could be a bit better, as it needs charging more often than I'd like. Still, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable shaver that’s easy to use and travel-friendly.

Great shaver
Bought this shaver after I couldn't get on with a Braun.Smooth and comfortable to use and very fast. Only needs charging every couple of weeks or so and charges very quickly.

Great price for performance shaver
At long last an easy electric shaver to clean. Husband is very pleased as the cutting discs are sharp so there is not snagging. It’s ergonomically designed and comfortable to use. The whole head pulls off for washing and to attached the small trimming blade. Excellent shaver for a reasonably low price.

Let down by its button
Nothing really wrong with its basic functionality. It shaves well and has reasonable battery life. But the power button requires so little pressure that you can't rest your thumb on it, and you can't rely on it not turning on in your bag if you're travelling.I had to spend a day at a business meeting with day-old stubble because the shaver drained itself from full charge while in transit - with the cheap soft pouch doing nothing to prevent the power button being pressed. Never had this happen with my old Philips Shaver, which came with a stiff case and needed a firm button press.

No head protector? Why not?
Pretty good shaver. Does a decent job.Easy to switch off unintentionally though as the button is placed where I would naturally place my thumb.Shame that it didn't come with a plastic head protector....I would have thought that that would be standard bearing in mind the ridiculous cost of these things but I guess they make more money from new blades being bought so protecting them may not be in their interest. Cynical? Me? Surely not.🙄
