Works Great...Not Always A Price Saving, But Still Worth It.
There is truly nothing like Prilosec for heartburn and sour stomachs (or the generic name of Omeprazole, OM for shot). I've tried some of the other forms of acid reducers only to have them fail me after dinner, or still manage to wake me in the middle of the night with heartburn. Prilosec, or OM is the only thing I have ever used that just truly stops heartburn dead, for a full 24 hrs even. It may take a few days to really kick in with maximum protection, but once it does it just kills the fire inside you, and that is all she wrote. One thing about OM that is not usually advertised that much is how good it is for ulcer treatment. Most ulcers are well able to heal themselves without seeing a rich doctor for a prescription. It's just a matter of reducing the acid long enough to promote the healing and trust me, it works. I have suffered from stomach woes since I was a young man and this stuff if taken indefinitely does the job of healing very well. (I also recommend aloe vera juice when you are really suffering from a bad ulcer. Prilosec for 2 weeks along with a glass or two of aloe vera juice a day does me wonders). I love this stuff and always have it in the house..The only thing that is disappointing is that price wise there just seems to not be any real deal on OM. It's one of the few things that one can buy in generic form that is not really any cheaper than the name brand in most cases. I save tons here on Amazon by buying the generic brand of a lot of health items, but this is unfortunately an exception. That being said, neither Prilosec nor the generic form of OM is really all that expensive if you want to take it regularly. (What I do is take it for 14 days and then go off it for 10 days to two weeks and feel fine. But many take it all the time if heartburn is a life long or chronic condition. ). You have to keep an eye on the price for this for it varies, but sometimes it is cheaper that the Prilosec. It works great and I highly recommend it even when the price is the same. I will confess that I buy it over the name brand even when its no deal just because I have always been a sucker for the underdog. Try it and feel better...: )

Good price, works like the name brands
My husband takes these every day and they work great for him. I take them every now and then for a few days at a time when I'm having symptoms and they work great for me, too. Also, it doesn't take the jaws of life to get the pills out of the package, which I appreciate as an old ("ish") person.

World's Most Inconvenient Packaging
I have been taking one of these a day for years. Seem to work. Retailer performed as advertised. But this packaging has always been the most exaggerated, inflated, wasteful, overkill product packaging I have ever encountered. (I guess they dress up the product with all that extra, unnecessary, vacuous packaging to help us feel better about paying so much for each pill?) And it is a time-wasting pain to open each of the pills individually. I ordered 168 tablets, for which the total packaging was the size of a small shoe box. After removing packaging, the pills wound up fitting into a _small_ container the size of my thumb. I stood for about an hour with scissors, cutting each blister open one at a time, squeezing to pop out a pill, picking up 1/4 of them off the floor.I'd love to stop using this product, not at all because of the cost, but because of that insulting, time-wasting packaging.

gets the job done
This is my second box of this stuff. I saw some reviews about the blister packs being difficult to open, but it seemed alot of people were taking all of them out to put in a bottle. I doubt that it's specific to this brand. It sounds obnoxious no matter what kind of blister packs you're dealing with. I take many pills at night and have them in a weekly pill case, which I pop these out and add when I fill it. I've never been popping them and thought this is annoying. It's a blister pack. It's doing its job. Overall, for a 3 week supply this is a great price, and I don't have to go anywhere to get it. Once in a while at night I'll have a little bit of heart burn as I lay down for bed half a glass of milk and I'm fine. All the other pills could definitely be a contributing factor, but regardless. It doesn't happen often and isn't severe enough to actually complain. I'm very happy with my purchase, would recommend it to friends and will probably continue to purchase through the seller.Update. I don't know if I got a defective pill in my latest package but almost immediately after taking it I got some of the worst heartburn of my life. I only felt better after ten minutes of unsuccessfully trying to make myself throw it up it was so bad. And even then it when from kill me now to, this is bad. Nothing helped! Milk, chewy tabs, a different brand of tabs, an occasional heartburn pill, baking soda, nothing. It was so crippling and had been going on for so long I was having trouble breathing. if hadn't subsided when it didI thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. This is a brand new package. I'm afraid to take it again... But that's never happened before. So I'm going to give it another chance, but if that happens again, straight out the window
