Works good for 4 months
The charger works well for 4 months with daily use. I've bought this same once twice hoping the first time it stopped working it was just a defective one. But the 2nd one just stopped working in the same time frame as the last - 4 months. Save your money and try a different one.

Broke in 6 months
Don't buy mine. It stopped working in less than six months and will not provide power to my computer. I will be looking to buy right from the HP website.

Beware... Seems fine, until it fries your devices
At first I was pleased with this charger. It charged my hp laptop, my android phone, and my nintendo switch and I was pleased for the price. After a couple of months, it began having issues, charging intermittently, getting very hot, and just seeming to be inconsistent in how well it worked overall. Then one evening, right after charging, my Nintendo Switch died. It seems to be some very odd battery related error. I did not put this together with the charger itself, just thought it was an unlucky incident and that my switch would need a battery replacement or repair. Thankfully, I have a backup switch that I bring with me when I travel. I started using that and charged it on this same charger, which had been behaving increasingly erratically, not charging devices until I unplugged it from the wall or surge protector and replugged it back in after a few minutes, then shutting itself off again after a few minutes and refusing to charge any devices, etc. I managed to charge this other Nintendo Switch for about 30 minutes on this charger tho before giving up in frustration. When I went to turn the Switch on to check it's power level (it had been about 60% before I had plugged it into this charger, so it was nowhere near dead) - it now gave me the same bricked error that my first switch had given me and became completely unresponsive despite multiple attempts at troubleshooting and Nintendo support. From what I can determine, the problem is because this charger is not properly regulating its current, which can severely damage devices.I am just VERY grateful that my phone and laptop were not destroyed by this charger before I put 2 and 2 together and tossed it out.

Edited Review: It broke for me but that might have been a fluke
Edit: Seller was responsive and sent me a replacement no questions asked. Sometimes hardware is faulty on a one-off basis, and that might have happened to me. Part of my frustration was with Amazon's strange warranty claim policy. That has nothing to do with this particular item. The seller gets 5 stars for service, but I am not certain about the actual product yet. You should check other reviews and use discretion before you make this purchase. Original review with spelling fixes is below:I've had this charger for about 5 months and it is already falling apart. I thought it would be covered by standard US consumer warranty. Apparently you can't make a warranty claim outside the return window on Amazon? What a nightmare. The shielding is peeling off and there are exposed wires. The charger doesn't work anymore unless you position it 'just right', and then it only works for a few minutes. Probably because it's so touchy.I didn't use it heavily but any means. This charger mostly sits in my bag because I have plugs at home and at the office. The chord comes with a velcro strip that I use that to tie it about as tight as you see in this image. It's much less tight than it is in the marketing images. I don't think a reasonable person would say I abused this charger. It's just bad. It's a waste of money and wastefully uses plastics and metals for a product that doesn't last 6 months. Don't buy this.
