Actually, truly, REALLY helping me!
WOWWWWW. That's what I found myself saying repeatedly as I tried this product (the KANUDA Spine Nap : Cervical and Spine Traction Device for Physical Therapy Session at-Home | Cervical & Thoracic Spine Traction | Posture Correction | Neck, Shoulder, Upper Back Pain Relief) for the first time.I went through all 3 suggested positions from the helpful included instructional card/booklet.I realized quickly that I can't really get confortable in position #1 since I have a C5-6 fusion. It wasn't painful, just a "hmm this is NOT comfortable realization".For background, I see a PT twice a week, and will essentially have to for treatment for life for MANy bulging/herniated discs comorbid with a connective tissue disorder. I'm in constant pain like so many people in the world, but always looking for ways to feel 10%, even 5% or 1% better. And this, for me, is IT! I also have tried various traction devices with more moving parts and they sometimes provided temporary relief, but with a bit of danger since you're using an external device. This, with its simplicity, helps to ameliorate that concern for me.The price IS high. The package / paperwork make it clear that this is NOT a medical device. The construction is actually top quality. Most everything seems purposeful.Bottom line: it helps me and I'm so happy I took the leap to try it out!

not for me
I have used the Spine Nap for 10 days before writing this review, I wanted to give it a chance to grow on me. It was quite underwhelming when I first looked at it, it resembles a large doorstopper made out of lightly flexible dense foam. The included instructions are more like a leaflet overview but the videos in the listing are very helpful to supplement the leaflet. My first experience was that I found it to be very small to lay on - I am 6' ~175 lbs and it feels much too small for me. I felt unsure if I had it centered right/left and it simply felt dainty underneath me - it does not feel correct to be one-size for all. Each night as I used it I kept having the same thought that it was challenging to position correctly - maybe I would like it better if it was mounted on a mat that I could align my body better with. Tonight was my 10th night using it and I have not found it to be as helpful as stuffing a pillow behind my neck and doing the same things. The videos also shows aligning the curved part with the upper part of your back and use it to apply pressure - hmmm, or maybe just use a tennis ball to do the same thing...Just my opinion but I am not drinking the kool-aide on this one, especially considering the price.

Great device for neck and upper back
I wasn't expecting a lot from this device as I've tried others over the years and none seemed to make any noticeable difference. Once getting situated on this one it was a bit uncomfortable/awkward at first but after some adjustments I seemed to have gotten in the right spot. I spent about 15 minutes on it and as soon as I got up I could feel a difference in my neck. It felt like stress had been relieved. I've used it a few more times with same results each time. I'm hoping after time the effects of using it will last longer but so far I've been pleased with this device.

Zero instructions, uncomfortable
The product came with zero instructions or images to help orient me to proper use. I also found it to be very uncomfortable. Not worth it for the price

Takes a while to get used to it
This thing is a little awkward to use. It does seem to stretch out my neck and back, but I found that I needed help when trying to position it properly. Maybe it's because I'm a senior, but I felt it was important to mention. Seems like a sturdy well made product, but there are cheaper alternatives that may be easier to use.

Well made and durable, takes some getting used to
The design of the KANUDA Spine Nap traction device is intended to help with discomfort in the neck, shoulders, and upper back areas. It feels robust and thoughtfully constructed, good for regular use. The contour seems to align with the natural curve of the cervical and thoracic spine, which seems promising. It feels durable and well-made, which suggests it could handle regular use without significant wear and tear.During use, it initially feels unusual but becomes more comfortable as the body adjusts. Finding the right position can be a bit of a learning curve, especially for someone like me with a spine fused from T2-T12 where comfort is always a challenge. However, once you get into the right position, the traction effect is noticeable, it gently stretches the neck and upper spine, which provides some relief. It’s uncomfortable to lay on at first, but as they say, “no pain, no gain.”As for the impact on posture, I’m using it consistently and hope to experience improvements. However, the price point feels steep, and the lack of included instructions is a noticeable oversight, I have to refer back to the Amazon listing for guidance, which is not always practical. Overall, while the device shows promise in terms of functionality and the support it offers for the neck and upper back, these aspects—initial discomfort, high cost, and the absence of physical instructions—should make you consider the overall value and ease of use before ordering.
