Amazing - Insert Batteries Cut on the TV
I was just amazed how well this remote worked. I just put in batteries and cut the tv on. That's it!!! Works great - so easy to set up and use.

works fine
I use this for a tv that I have outside. The remotes don't last long sitting in the hot Florida sun, so this one is truly a bargain - lasts as long as the original brand at a super price. Highly recommend.

Pretty good copy, if not perfect
[Edit: Just noticed Amazon shows “Vince Voice” next to my name… I paid full price for this product and it had nothing to do with the Vine Voice program.]Recently we were gifted an older Toshiba TV, but the remote was not included. Thankfully we already had a similar era Toshiba TV that I was using in the shop, so I already had an OEM Toshiba CT-90325 remote, with which to test the new-to-us TV. The TV tested out perfectly operational. So now we needed a replacement remote and understood the chances of getting an OEM Toshiba remote, particularly at a reasonable price were nil. We found several aftermarket examples, but two stood out here on Amazon. We chose this one due to it having a very slightly higher rating and being less expensive. Hard to argue with a materially less than $10 price. In typical Amazon fashion, the remote showed up the next day so I compared it to the OEM remote and tested it. Photos of the OEM and this copycat are attached to this review. The OEM remote includes the "Toshiba" branding and is on the left in both photos. The button layout appears to be identical. You have to look really hard to find real differences. This copycat appears to control the TV flawlessly - what more could we ask? Perhaps splitting hairs, while the button click "feel" on the OEM Toshiba remote is pretty consistent across buttons, there is a bit of "click feel" variation across buttons on the copycat remote. A minor issue in the real world. The surprise? While the OEM Toshiba remote uses more compact AAA battery cells, this copycat remote uses AA battery cells. It is not clear how that translates to battery longevity - perhaps the copycat electronics are less efficient, requiring larger batteries. For better or worse, it does result in the copycat remote feeling a bit heavier, but not irritatingly so.Bottom Line: we're happy with this alternative to the OEM remote purchase but cannot comment on its durability until it has aged a while.

Works great!
I previously bought this model replacement remote off of eBay. It was so cheaply made. The spring that held one of the batteries in place kept getting stuck in, causing the remote to stop working. I got this remote, and it’s much more sturdy and well made.

Duplicates original remote
This remote replaced and original chose Toshiba remote which was quite large as they were with the older TVs . I wanted a smaller one that was easier to work with and I’ve been able to operate every function on my old projection screen TV that I was able to do with the original remote . This is not a learning remote and will not operate my DVD player but neither did my original remote because my DVD player is a Sony and not Toshiba . This is an excellent price . It does feel those somewhat cheap which is why I don’t know what the durability will be moving forward but for less than seven dollars it is a great value . Worked right out of the package with no programming required

Identical replacement for wicked short money
Actually, as this replacement remote has Toshiba imprinted on it, it is either the real deal as opposed to an aftermarket/generic replacement or it is an improperly marked knock-off.In any event, as for functionality and such, this replacement remote is identical to the one that came with my TV as well as works as well as my original remote before it wore out.My only issues are two. One, the design/build quality on both the one that came with my TV remote and my replacements is a bit on the less robust side; HOWEVER, this is Toshiba's doing and thus not something for I can complain about as regards this purchase. The other is that some buttons on my replacement remotes need a bit more pressing than others. I suspect that the two remotes I bought might be a bit older inventory and that perhaps the one piece rubber membrane that makes up the buttons might have stiffen up a bit overtime or perhaps the contact points could use a cleaning. Alternatively, perhaps a different membrane material was used on my replacement remotes as compared to my original remote. In any event, such is more me being picky than a legit complaint. After all, for less than $12 in total, I have BOTH a perfectly satisfactory replacement remote control as well as a spare for a whole lot less than what it would have cost me to buy ONE factory replacement remote directly from Toshiba. Finally, as for the company that sold me the remote, shipment was days faster than promised AND I was comped with free Amazon Prime shipping as an Amazon welcome back sort of promotion. All things considered, I am very pleased.
