Works!
As a metal protectant this may be the best product out there. It has a thinner viscosity than Fluid Film therefore is easier to apply with a under coating gun with various wand attachments. Other reviews imply that Surface Shield lasts longer as it dries a little bit. That said Fluid Film has many additional uses as it does not dry out. Example: as a penetrating oil and works well on pad locks exposed to the elements. Both products work protecting from rust. Black looks great on frames, clear for other purposes. Have both colors on hand. The aerosol cans are very convenient.

Messy but effective!
Some of the best lanoline based undercoating out there, and the 1 gallon size is perfect for a DIY'er. I suggest warming the product up in warm water before use.

Sprays well out of a other brand gun
Previously used another brand treatment WW. I got the kit that came with their gun which I have now used to apply this. My main issue with the other stuff was how thick it was to the point where it was not very usable below 40° out of their own tool without warming it up as I went. This stuff sprayed incredibly well comparably. This stuff seems to last longer as well as I have applied it from a can previously. This is definitely the way to go with a compressed air gun, so much easier to apply. This will be my go-to product from now on. I sprayed one body on frame 4x4 truck, getting inside all of the frame members and everywhere else, and also did one economy sedan. Ended up using about 1/2 of this tub. I probably put it on quite a bit heavier than needed, but why not go a bit over the top. As a bit more scent for about two weeks after, but it's nothing offputting to me. After putting it on a month ago I can't smell it anymore unless I climb under my truck.

Best investment
Easy to apply, though you really need something larger than my little pancake compressor. That said, it’s the best return you may get on your vehicle investment if you live in the rust belt like us.

This stuff Lasts!
Works great. Sprays very easily without a mess. A nice light coat has lasted over two winters in northern PA. Has a pleasant smell when applied, unlike the others. its thinner than others as well and seems to really creep into the seams of the body panels. I did two vehicles with one bucket. 2023 chevy 2500 crew cab, and 2023 Toyota 4-Runner. Both still look great.

Application of surface shield to underside of vehicle
Very easy to apply with a small harbor freight inexpensive spray gun does not produce much over spray that required masking but does leave an oily feeling film that does not seem to dry which should not be a problem as long as it prevents corrosion and will not hold dust or dirt that could not be easily hosed off from underneath. Only took a little over a quart out of that gallon to treat under my Ford Maverick truck.

Better than fluid film
Sprayed my truck before winter, is holding on very well seems to be better than fluid film

If you don’t mind spending all day working to save $1,000
This stuff is great, much easier to apply with a spray gun but it has a great hold. The prep work took me the most time- I didn’t have a lift & wish I would have. Make sure to do it right and remove every panel you can to spray behind. Well worth the cost & time if you live in the rust belt.
