6 Pieces Pencil Toppers Set Silicone Pencil Toppers(Red, Blue, Green)

My daughter (5 years old) is on the spectrum, high functioning. We noticed when she's in deep thought she needs some sort of oral stimulation, so she chews through just about anything like a beaver... lol... Pencils and crayons have been the main objects she chews through. When she gains focus, she becomes highly upset at the damage she caused to the object. We tried chewy necklaces, bracelets, pendants, other flimsy sensory chew devices that break off within days, or just not hygenically possible or safe for that matter... It was difficult to find something that was safe, durable, long lasting, and easy to clean. We have gone through so many different products in our search to suit her particular needs, and the search included pencil toppers, but no pencil topper has ever lasted as long as these!! They are perfect for my daughter's strong little teeth. She is so happy and enjoys her favorite pencils. Her crayons and pencils have lasted so long... unbelievable difference, and almost an immediate difference at that! There are times she forgets, but immediately realizes something different; recognizing the object in her mouth that she would usually chew is "not correct", and from this, triggers a reminder of "do not chew", and over time, we have noticed less chewing, and even less with crayons -still a lot of chewing because we just got these, but more thoughtful chewing and less as days go by... if that makes any sense. These toppers are easy to clean, super durable, and designed really well. Great quality chewies. My daughter love the vibrant colors. Her only "wish" for these toppers is for the color Purple. She claims it's her superpower color. If she believes it, so do I. My little beaver enjoys her pencils now, and has really enjoyed unchewed crayons these days. I absolutely love how sturdy and snug they are on the pencil. I am confident these toppers will last a very long time. This is a pack of 6 toppers... at this pace, I cannot see her going through this pack for months on end or even in a year (may last her more than a year). After a couple of months she hasn't made a single dent. Unbelievable. Very durable. Worth every penny. I highly recommend these if you or your child experience similar needs. I bought these for my cousin who is an autistic low functioning chewers and biter. The product holds up well but doesn't fit a standard pencil. It does fit his Bic pens though so it at least covers something he uses daily and destroys through chewing.Autistic, adult, heavy chewers and biter

I can’t speak to the durability yet as I’ve only had them for a week, but what I can say is they are a little heavy. For beginning or struggling writers this might affect their grip, handwriting, or make their hand tire more quickly. The material is thick and they are long so you can definitely feel the weight hanging on the end of the pencil.

Very tight to get on but we discovered if you don’t take the metal part/eraser off the pencil with pliers first that the metal can bend and get stuck inside the chew top. Obviously this kid is rough with them. After we did that, though, they worked better for the student.

My son has a current chewing problem and is destroying pencils and tshirts like crazy. These have been helping because they are solid and give input when my son bites its. They are not very squishy and have held up for more than a month to him constantly chomping them.

My daughters are autistic and have sensory processing disorder. My youngest was chewing her pencils right in half, so I purchased these to protect her mouth and teeth. An extra benefit is that both seem to be able to focus a bit better when using these while writing.

My four year old enjoys chewing on these. I’m not sure if he actually uses them on his pencils at school, but he enjoys biting them at home in the least!

Great product great colors great durability my eight year old loves chewing on it and so do my twin two-year-olds. I love that the pencils for my son at school are no longer coming home without erasers, or the metal part being chewed on by him and his teeth. I will be looking to purchase this product.
