I have ordered the Oberlander ribbon cake strips many time. They was always fresh and delicious. This cake was very hard and stale. I had planned to take the cake to a friend’s for a holiday dinner. I am happy that I opened the package or I would have been very embarrassed. I am doubly upset as the ribbon cake is expensive and cannot be returned. I have been confident in shopping with Amazon for many, but this purchase gives me food for thought. Literally and figuratively. I just read other reviews, all terrible, attesting to the bad quality and staleness. Amazon should atleast credit the account or refund the money for such inferior products!

Love the taste of this gluten free product and it is a big hit with my kids as well (ages 3 and 5).

Just horrible ! This item can not be returned which means it's going to the garbage! First it arrived damaged.( Box was damaged and open), Lousy packing Second - the cake is smashed up and looks really yucky... Also, the expiration date was coved with a black marker. Price is extremely high for 3 small pieces of a smashed cake!

Delicious treat , especially for Passover. Fresh, tasty, delightful. Expensive, but worth it as a holiday treat.

I was excited to try these because I can’t eat gluten anymore, and I miss these cookies! Myself and another person each tried them and threw them away. These came dry and stale, and they left an unpleasant chemical flavor in our mouths. Way too much money for poor quality.

The media could not be loaded. The first time I bought these in 2023 they were amazing, moist and delicious. They were out of stock for a long time, I was excited to see them back in stock for 2024. The cookies I got this time were hard as a rock, dry and yuck. I even tried putting them in the microwave for a few seconds with a wet paper towel but that did not help. I'd love to try another box but they are too expensive to try my luck.

I got these for Passover and I was so excited to try these. My mom is from NYC and had never had this kind of cookie “from a box” before. She said she didn’t even know they sold them in a box, and had only ever seen them “hand made” in bakeries. But now we live far away from any good Jewish bakeries (let alone a GF one) so we decided to try these. The taste was pretty good! Even my mom liked them! The one BIG problem was that the layers of the different colors had sort of come undone in the box during shipping. They actually got to be kind of messy and crumbled. I had to sort of re-assemble them before we ate them.

Did they look like the picture? No. Did they arrive smooshed and smashed? Yes. Were they CRAZY overpriced? YES. Will we buy again? Yup, cuz they may look ugly, but they taste fantastic! (Some of the other types are not as good. My Jersey Girl heart broke when the Black & Whites were awful...)
