THE BEST!!!!
Can’t say enough good things!! True to size. Great quality. I wish it was less expensive, but for the relief / peace of mind it provides, it’s worth it. My pup’s foot is 2.2” wide, and the medium fits perfect. So easy to configure and put on. My pup has been knuckling due to neurological issues caused by a meningioma tumor on his spine. This has made it so he can walk normally again, and not drag or knuckle. Provides great support. Keeps his foot in the proper position. We haven’t walked in any deep water, so not sure if it’s completely waterproof, but his foot stays dry in the rain. Seems comfortable, he never protests when I get it out to put it on him. The vets love it too. So glad I got it. Very happy with it.

Seems great, would be helpful if made correctly
I FOUND AN AMAZING COMPANY...search Maximus roller skate, they have skate boots, toe up boots, custom braces and PERSONAL custimer service, literally someone called me to ensure I was buying the right size.As for this review... What a horrible company, I bought and returned 2 immediately due to the WILDLY inaccurate sizing. In my photo one is a L, I have an 83 lb dog and it's HUGE on him so I bought a Medium which is half the size. Also the boot has WAY too much material, which pushes it down the foot. I can see why people complain about the quick wear out as the boot part is t even really rubber. Since I said the original large had been opened and used I was told I had to completely clean it as they would not accept a return with dog hair on it, like excuse me? It's a dog product and your company can't even follow your own sizing chart.

Wonderful For Degenerative Myopathy but unfortunately wears out fast
This is a difficult review for me to write … I will provide both the pros and cone I have experienced in using these toe-up booties. My 11-1/2 year old mutt was diagnosed with DM about 8 months ago. She is loosing all feeling in her back legs. It started with her mostly in her right leg and right upper thigh. One of the things that happens with DM dogs 🐕 s called knuckling. It started gradually where her foot would curl under and she would drag it. Unfortunately, when this happens they begin to scrape the top part of their paw. I started out with a regular dog booty. The next stage, however, was a where they begin to actually start dragging their whole back leg. At this point I did not know about this toe up device and ended up purchasing a cart m; so I could continue to take her on walks. The cart was a life saver and she adjusted rather quickly, but she still kept knuckling and dragging her right paw, and would wear out the regular booties fast. I contacted the place where I had purchased the cart, and that was when they recommended this product. After I put it on her and saw how it kept her toe up and forward; I then wished that I had tried the toe-up product first (before the dog cart/wheelchair) because I think it would have been enough by itself for awhile to help prevent the knuckling and scraping. Anyway, this device definitely helps her not only in the cart, but at home when wearing it she can bring herself to standing easier with it on. Okay, so you are wondering why only three stars. Only three stars because these things last really only about a month. I wish they were sturdier. Either the rubber bottom starts splitting and coming off, or the elastic part will break. We try to keep them going as long as possible for use when the bottoms start wearing away by strategically placing duct tape on them. That said though, it still seems the life span of these things is only about a month to maybe a month and a half. I have come to accept this only because they work so great for my dog’s DM. I just wish they were not so dang expensive, or that the company would offer more of a discount; say if two or more of them are purchased at the same time. I did just purchase two of them recently; because of a temporary $10 off coupon that the company was offering if more than one was purchased. This discount was appreciated. Honestly though, a larger price cut would have been really really appreciated.Since my girl continues to have quality to her life via her cart, and via these toe-up booties; I continue to foot the cost.

Good product just not a good fit for us
We did have to return both the small and extra small we ordered simply because they just did not fit our cat's foot right. The top velcro slid past her joint no matter how we had it and the boot part just did not fit her well. That being said I think the product itself seems well made and would probably work for others if needing just the toes to not turn under.

Updated review, from 4 to 5 stars
Updated 7/26/22So as my dog's mobility has continued to decline I went ahead and purchased a boot for his left foot. The boot that was sent, even though it said it was a size small, was actually quite a bit smaller than the right boot which was also a small (second photo). I contacted the seller and she immediately sent me a new boot without any issue. The new boot is the same size as the other. These Boots aren't perfect . As one other reviewer commented on, it would help if the straps were different colors, sometimes I undo the tethers that keep the toe up when I mean to undo the strap from his hock, different color straps would allow fastening the boots more quickly. If you have never put boots on a dog before, especially one that falls over, they usually don't stand still very long. The other issue is I wish the rings on the on the boot we're connected to the outside of the boot and not inside. I can actually feel the ring inside when I put my hand in and I am not sure whether or not that causes any pain to my dog when he's walking. Also I have wondered if having tethers to a harness that would pull the leg forward might be a better solution than the straps around the hocks. Overall, however, I give this product five stars because even with the high cost it is a quality product, the customer service is excellent and there really isn't anything out there on the market like it.Original:I got this for my dog that has a gimpy back right leg. He drags his foot and then will stand on his knuckles. This boot keeps him from standing on his knuckles but it doesn't keep him from dragging his foot completely. It is very well made and will last through all the dragging foot scuffing. Be aware that the price is for ONE BOOT ONLY. I didn't realize this and thought I would get 2 for the price (which seems high). That being said, we will probably need another boot eventually when his left foot goes and will pay the price for it too.
