Great Little Kit for the Price
My second laser-cut thin board sail ship kit and the end results are getting better. The parts separated cleanly and did not crumble like my first kit. The two page assembly list was ok, all the parts match the illustrations except the cannon barrels were missing, I supplied my own. I used the supplied cloth for the sails and I should used my own like the last ship. Too porous, threads unraveled on angle cuts. The hull planks are always difficult to place and time consuming. Used steam to shape prior to gluing in place.

Cheap and fragile
Kit of thin wood pieces that easily broke. Often not fitting well. Looks like nice potential detail, but really a challenge to put together especially with the very poor "instructions."

Very bad instructions, just a copy of a drawing. Seems to be missing the rigging (blocks and tackle ect.) My first build so I didn't know what to expect. The parts fit together well and are all Lazer cut. Over all I have learned quite a bit with the help of YouTube. Good experience and cheap enough that if it comes out not so good I can try again.

Very few instructions
Only buy this kit if you're very familiar with such crafting. Also requires glue. At first I thought it was all pop-together like those wood puzzles. It's not.

No (helpful) instructions.
Really cool concept, but HORRIBLE instructions with poor quality labeling.

Very different to put together
The models are very beautiful when you can actually get them put together. They're very difficult to put together, you will need a bonding glue of some sort and something to hold the model parts in place until the glue sets. I'm a teacher and my students needed them as models for their diaroma on Jamestown settlement. They were not successful in putting the models together according to the diagram but did put together a beautiful boat from the parts from their own creations. I would not recommend this for children.

Fun, simple, plans/instructions lacking.
This exact kit is everywhere. It’s sold here, it’s on all of the Chinese import sites…it’s ubiquitous. It’s super basic, laser etched and cut thin ply sheets, some cloth and REALLY basic instructions…If you can even call them that. It’s plank on frame construction, a nice (if a little rudimentary) intro to the construction type. It’d be smart to watch some YouTube vids of this type of building if you’re unfamiliar. It goes together quickly once the hull is done and then you can go as crazy or mellow as you like with the rigging. If you enjoy the idea of this kit and have some more $ there are better kits out there that will produce more detailed results than this. That said, I think this kit is still worth the money to try this build style out.
