When I first received the carabiners I was just trying the open mechanism and suddenly noticed a sharp pain and blood dripping from my finger. On closer inspection each of the carabiners had a small shard of metal around the opening, presumably a machining burr. I was able to remove these with a pen knife. However, it took a while to be sure all the shards were removed as they were difficult to see but I didn't want to be boating with cut fingers. I needed to use the carabiners urgently so I didn't return them. Optimistically the seller will check their stock and remove the shards before dispatch but I strongly suggest any buyer check them carefully before using.

I like to use these with parachute cord or climbing rope, so I was very glad to see that there were no rough edges to snag the outside edges leaving it frayed. Unlike a lot of karabiners I've now thrown away the rivets on each side of the gate hinge are rounded down to ensure no snags to your cords. The metal is highly polished and the gate works smoothly and closes tight, again without leaving sharp edges. Great quality all round.

Used these along with (sturdy) nylon cord to hang my long ladder to the garage wall. Ideal for those en block concrete walled garages where the sections are bolted together but some holes are left where no bolts were put in.Be a little careful when using for the first time - some have metal rags left on - easy enough to remove but painful if you miss them.

Excellent carabiner hooks that I've used to replace the now defunct catches on the seat of my sit on top kayak. Spring tension is good and the hooks themselves are weighty and strong. They look and feel like they're made from good metal.
