( Edit 1 year later, These are still holding up great and I have used the light blue ones in loads with (light) bleach with no ill effects) I LOVE these, had them only 6 weeks so far. This prevents lost socks but also keeps color/fade matched socks together. So if I buy 6 pairs of dark socks I don't end up with 5 shades of dark colors. The plastic ball retainers, are slightly noisy in the Dryer; But if you add plenty of other clothing, it is not too bad.

I’ll never go without these again! No more lost socks! They work. Mine are still going strong and I recently bought a second set so I could use them on additional socks in my drawer. I put my dirty socks in them and wash them in the washer. Normally I wash everything on cold. Sometimes I run them through the dryer if I’m in a hurry but usually I put the socks still in the clip on my drying rack to preserve the elastic. I pop the socks/clips in my sock drawer ready to use again. Love, love, love.

I love these gadgets! I was doing my Dad's laundry for a couple of years after my Mom's Alzhiemer's got too bad, and for awhile after she passed. He has basically all black, blue or gray socks, but different brands. If the brand name wasn't made into it, it took me forever to match the socks up. Some would have a longer top part, sometimes the colors were just a bit off. I hated matching them. I saw these, bought them and it saved so much time and aggravation!! I had him bind them together when he took them off. I would remove the cords after laundering, fold each pair, and stick in his drawer! I was using the same cords at his house and at home, we live next door. I use them at my house too, because several pair of mine and my husband's are the same brand of diabetic socks and compression socks. Even though the sizes are different, it is hard to tell some apart. He has certain colors, and I have certain colors. Since my Dad does his own laundry now, I just put them on when we take a pair off, wash & dry and toss in our sock drawers with the cords still on them. Would work great if you have several kids to assign each their color. You'd need to buy a couple sets, but it would be worth it! I think they are a great value and time saver for the cost. They hold up well too. I've used mine over two years now.

I finally got fed up with the sock clips I was using before--two plastic rings joined together. They did not reliably hold socks together throughout a wash cycle even using two sets per pair of very thick socks. Plus other items would get caught in the joint between the two rings making a big tangled mess, and sometimes causing things to get stretched out of shape. I am so glad I got the Homeffect Sock Clips. I just did my first load using them and all the socks stayed paired and I did not have to carefully layer the laundry to keep things from getting caught in the clips. Great product but seems very overpriced, which is a deterring me from buying again. I guess I didn't notice the price the first time I purchased :)

I have tried other sock sorters, but since I changed to thicker padded socks they no longer worked. I was reluctant to try these because of the price (compared to other types), but finally decided to give them a try. They work great, are simple to use, and my white socks come out of the laundry clean, even where this sock sorter is bound around them. I went ahead and bought enough for all my socks. Beware however that kittens think they are great toys!

These sock clips are great for keeping pairs together in the laundry process. And when taking them out of the dryer they are already sorted.
