Grab some tissues
This one was the best of the series so far for me. No, I don't enjoy death and grief. This one though....this one made me bawl like a baby. A real, deep emotion. Especially when you consider that these aren't real people. Books that give you a real emotion of your own are special. They connect with you. A story is just a story unless it affects you in some way. If you learn a lesson from it. If you cry or laugh. If you feel their sorrow and fears. Well those are the special authors. The ones who can draw you in. The ones who are doing just what they should be doing. Even though we knew this death was coming, it still made me cry. No surprise. No contrived ploy here. It was for a reason and I get it. Doesn't mean I had to like it. Poor Rylee. The hits just never stop coming for her.The other characters grow, change, and some make major turns. Some turn out to be not who you thought they were. Ok a lot do. Others surprise you. Life is in constant upheaval for our rag tag bunch but they continue and plod on, determined to be the force that tips the balance away from total annihilation. We lose more people in this battle. The spots of joy are often very short lived and in between longs periods of death and destruction. If you are looking for a light, fun read this isn't your series. If you are looking for a kick butt heroine, a loyal group of sidekicks, some fantasy elements and a lot of determination, well you've found it in spades.(A note: I have noticed a few spelling errors. To be this good of an author, one who has such a long standing and overall well received series that is in print, there shouldn't be errors. It was mostly homonyms and what might be an autocorrect issue. Just an FYI. It did make me pull out of the story for a minute. Overall though, because the story was powerful enough on its own, I can't detract from the author.)

Shannon Mayer is becoming one of my favorite authors
Often series have gone so far off track by the eighth book in the series that I lose interest. Not once has this author strayed from the original feel of the series. I love these characters and it is not often that books or movies move me to tears, but I was crying at the end of this one.The series moves along. Orion wants Rylee dead. There are four packs of demons that are the precursor to the four demons that are akin to the four horsemen of the apocalypse. These packs are either already here or are coming very soon. Of course Rylee doesn’t get a break. The story picks up at Doran’s where all of Rylee’s allies are meeting together. Again, of course, this doesn’t go smoothly. (I say “again” and “of course” simply because Murphy’s Law applies to Rylee. If something can go wrong, it will and she is always jumping from one emergency to another). I think this is all I can say of the plot without giving away spoilers. I happen to LOVE spoilers and specifically troll the reviews hoping to find them, but people get very aggressive about them so I refrain :)We have known for a while that Liam will die. Liam has known for a while that he will die at it seems that others are starting to pick up on this as well. Everyone except Rylee. She is at a point where she feels she will break if she loses one more person close to her. That she will no longer care about the fate of the world she is fighting to save. Every time we turn around Liam is getting hurt and as a reader you hold your breath each time wondering if this is it. I have maintained throughout the entire series that if either Liam or Alex is killed I am not sure how I will feel about this series.Alex is becoming more dominant and at one point some character (perhaps Rylee) says that he will remember how to shift again soon. Alex has been my very favorite character since the beginning. Even over Rylee (which is probably against the rules). He is sweet, loyal and very funny. He doesn’t do anything that make him hard to love. There is a part in this book where Alex just being sad made me cry, that is how much I love him. I can’t even handle him being sad!I HATE waiting for the next book in a series. It is always wonderful to find an amazing series like this when it is at this stage and you can just read one book right after another. These books are wonderful and I find myself thinking about the characters long after I have stopped reading. Signs of a book addict if I think the characters in the books are my friends? For more book suggestions, visit my blog at: http://bibliobibulireviews.blogspot.com/

Heart thumping action and drama
As usual with a Rylee Adamson book the action is full on and has no time for let up. We roll from the one disaster to the next in Rylee's life. As everyone around her now know she has a nasty habit of walking into trouble and this instalment is no exception. We are dealing with demons now and they are nasty nasty! One of the things that I love so much about this series is the character progression and the characters themselves. They evolve constantly and Shannon Mayer is certainly not afraid of change in her books! I find it very hard to review this book for it's story line, let me just say it was as awesome as always. It blew me away and as far as the characters go, well read it for yourself. I say no more. This is an absolute must for any urban fantasy fan.

Omg!!!
There are few books that get me soo emotional I actually cry!!! This is one of those times, what rylee goes through in this book is definitely an emotional roller coaster. To say that this book was well written and well thought out would be an understatement, I had no trouble following the plot and becoming so engrossed in the book I felt like I was there with rylee. All the books in the series are well written and follow exceedingly well. I really can't wait for the next one!!!

Wounded (a Rylee Adamson novel 8)
Fantastic book lots of twists and turns and unexpected twists which pulled on your whole range of emotions. Didn't like the ending even though it had to happen for the storyline and understood why. The series gets better and better with each book, looking forward to the next book

Omg
Omg, I knew it was coming, have had a sense of foreboding for the past couple of books but when it came, I struggled. Struggled to read the past couple of chapters, through the tears that I was shedding. After 8 books you really get involved with the characters, they become almost family, not many books have had me sobbing buckets like this one did......read it and weep

Not to Be Missed
I've loved all this series, and this one was no different. My only complaint TEN BOOKS in the series. Would have like them to be longer individually and less altogether. However, have recommended this series to a friend and she too is romping through them at a speed which is amazing herself. Not to be missed.
