Alfajores are a fantastic gift
If you want to impress a chocolate fan, try these. Especially if you are buying for someone used to American chocolate, they will be impressed by Havanna alfajores. The spiced cardamom flavor makes these stand out from the typical flavor of cheap supermarket canned dulce de leche. The texture of the cakes is simultaneously heavy and fluffy (the box is heavy. It feels like a brick.) Incredibly rich, and well worth the price. Very good with coffee.

Incredibly delicious!
I was lucky to buy these back in 2009 when I was on a trip to South America. I had never seen them since until recently on Amazon. I ordered a box and they are spectacular. I highly recommend these.
