The characters were likeable or easy to dislike, depending on who Sophie was interacting with. Everyone contributed pressure in Sophie's liife, some more than others.I gave the entire series to my youngest grand daughter, and she loves it.Reading about the adventures of Sophie's Foster is the key to Becoming part of the story yourself, and who hasn't wanted to be an Elf with Talent.

this is an amazing book! came super fast, and in great condition, my daughter lovved it so much! encouraged her to read over the summer! this series is great, and definitly recomend! she said this was her favorite book ever! filled with fun mysteries and suspense.

I loved the chance to read more of Sophie’s adventures. This is a fantastic read aloud for the family. It has suspense and action but also has the characters pouring time and effort into solving their problems.

The characters I fell in love with in the first novel are given more page-time in this sequel, and Sophie's adventures take a darker, more emotional turn. While I highly enjoyed KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES, Messenger surprised me with how incredible EXILE turned out to be. If you are looking for a fun and creative middle-grade series that is filled with surprises and fabulous characters, then you need to check out these books.HIGHLIGHTS: I love how important family and friendship is in this series. While Sophie relies heavily on herself, she also leans on her friends (especially Dex and Keefe) and family (the fabulous Grady and Edaline) when she needs some extra support. I even enjoyed Sophie's struggles with her abilities in this novel, and how she never let that hold her back. The new details Messenger included about Sophie's fascinating world were fantastic. While reading, I never knew what to expect from this story, so I was very surprised by certain moments.LOWLIGHTS: I didn't make note of any lowlights while reading, so I think it's safe to say that I highly enjoyed this entire story. I was a bit bothered by Fitz's moody attitude, but I understand why he acted the way he did.SOURCE: received an advanced readers copy from publicist in exchange for my honest opinion. I will be purchasing this book ASAP, because this is one that I definitely want on my bookshelf.

(CONTAINS SPOILERS) I will be honest: This series is great. Awesome main character with huge mystery to uncover with help of funny/romantic/technopath side characters. It's pretty awesome. But I'm a little disappointed by the lack of girls. Sure the main character is female but not many other important people are. Also, I was kind of hoping for more on Stina's behavior at the funeral and if she is kinder now. Hopefully this will be addressed in the next book. However, the book was nicely written and it was easy to believe Sophie was a real person. A little predictable at times but still so epic and sort-of-cliffhanger at the end makes it certain that I will buy the next book. I hope for more works of art in the future from you, Shannon!

Shannon Messenger has created this amazing world that you never want to leave! So in love with this series!!!! Can't wait to see what happens next!

I absolutely love this series! I am very enthusiastic about it, and though I have read incredible books before, I have never felt so… there aren’t even existing words to describe it!

THE PLOT AND THE STORY IS AN AMAZING SPIN OF TO THE FIRST BOOK HAPPY TO GO ON TO THE SECOND BOOK!!!!

My kids have the books 1, 3,4,5. Though could treat each one as independent story, the thought of missing the first 2 still poses questions of how those are all linked to one another. This book answered their curious questions on the characters. The storyline is just as relevant and engaging. The conflicts are predictable though. Kind of typical events for a young reader. Still a great book and a series to keep reading.

Its really good

I never thought an alicorn would become my absolute favorite character of this series but here we are. If anything bad happens to Silveny I'm going to riot. I love her!Exile was a great sequel. At the beginning it felt a bit slow but the plot set up and the backstory revealed throughout the book made it worth it.I'm so happy there was so much Keefe in it. That guy and the sweet family moments between Grady, Edaline and Sophie were amazing.I have even more questions now than I had starting the book and I'm so excited for all I still get to read.

This series of books is hard to put down and has a Harry Potter feel but no magic which I love and it keeps the fantasy which is a bonus for me.

Fantastisch boek, fantastische serie.Zoals ik al bij andere bestellingen geschreven heb, kwam ook dit boek in super slechte staat aan. De cover was dubbel geplooid en de pagina's waren verkreukt. De enigste reden dat ik nog via Amazon boeken bestel is omdat ik deze serie nergens anders kan vinden tegen een schappelijke prijs.
