Love metal earth!!
A lot of reviews moan about how fragile it is and how easy it is to break. I'm not an expert modeller but this is now the second one I've made. With any modeling it's a case of practice makes perfect. My first one was a bit ropey but this one was near perfect (if I do say so myself :))To get the metal bits of the sprue I use an xacto knife (scalpel). Yes it sounds a bit weird and each model will blunt one blade but I've not found anything better. I also use my modeling tweezers to bend and fix the pieces together but any good quality tweezers will do. That's literally all you'll need. To make them perfect you might want to look at various pe bending tools but that's for the serious geekTop tip. Just take your time and only bend when you really have to. You're better off arranging ancillaries to all these models before making the final bend as it's the constant bending back and forward that snaps the metal at the joins. Hope this helps

I love doing these things and this was a good valentines ...
Another user said it was more fragile than others and i have to agree. The head crumpled, but nothing some superglue couldn't solve! Also a little more tighter fit on the body to base which was tricky. I love doing these things and this was a good valentines gift (completed) for my boyfriends nerd shelf :)

Easier than it looks
I thought this one would be a nightmare but it was way easier than the TIE Fighter IMO, the head and body are only made of a few pieces, the only trickyish) parts were the legs but they are all the same and not that hard, if the legs are a bit loose put some super glue on top of the base you connect to because it will be covered anyway and it tightens them up, looks really good when done

Great product and so fun to have displayed
Great product and so fun to have displayed. My only word of warning is patience. This isn't like a clip together model plane, it is very time consuming and it requires delicate work in places so my advice would be to take you time and use the correct tools and you will get the model to look brilliant, I have seen some ones that have been rushed together and they do not look nearly as good.

One of the best I've assembled.
Of the 7 metal earth models I've made this is by far the best and looks really good.Little tip, with any circular part I've found the best way is to bend and shape them over the non cutting end of a drill bit a match up the size based on what its going to attach to, then just bend the bit around until you can join then ends, then once joined just bend it around a bit more and it becomes an almost perfect cylinder.
