Sturdy and Practical Toolbox for Everyday DIY Use
Review: STANLEY DIY Toolbox (16 Inch, 1-79-216)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently bought the STANLEY DIY Toolbox, and it has quickly become my go-to storage solution for my tools and small parts. At 16 inches, it’s the perfect size for home DIY projects without being too bulky. The standout feature for me is the 1-touch latch mechanism. It’s incredibly easy to open and close with just one hand, which is really convenient when you’re in the middle of a task. The box itself feels sturdy and durable, built to withstand heavy use.On top of the lid, there are two built-in organisers with transparent covers, perfect for screws, nails, and other small parts. The sections are well-sized and keep everything neatly separated, so I don’t have to dig around for small pieces. The main compartment is spacious enough for all my essential tools—hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and more—without being cramped. Despite its robust build, the toolbox is still light enough to carry around easily. In terms of design and functionality, this toolbox ticks all the boxes. It’s practical, reliable, and well-built. Ideal for DIY enthusiasts who want something straightforward yet effective.**Pros:**- Easy 1-touch latch for quick access- Two lid organisers for small parts- Sturdy construction- Compact but roomy enough for essential tools**Cons:**- None so far!Highly recommended for both casual DIYers and professionals who need a reliable storage solution.

Decent Size
Sturdy toolbox that holds quite a lot of tools. Handy compartments on the lid for screws and stuff. Long screwdrivers fit in ok.

Good box
Good toolbox. This is my second one. Original broke at the hinges, but I’d had it for about 20 years.

Well thought out box
I bought this to replace my trusty old Curver toolbox which I used to carry screwdrivers and stuff about in.The Curver was a good size for screwdrivers, basic and extremely tough. Lasted me for over 15 years when I accidentally dropped a heavy object on the handle from a hight. I started out looking for something as nearly identical as possible. After much research I plumped for the Stanley. It isn’t us quite tough as my old box (& none of the boxes I found were), but it is tough enough - surprisingly it survived my determined efforts to force it closed with the tray in the wrong position. It is bigger - but still reasonably compact & I welcome the extra space. The storage flaps at the top which I didn’t want have proved surprisingly handy for storing beeswax, screwdriver bits & stuff.I like the fact that the tray leaves a space at the front to drop thing back into (but you need to remember to position the tray at the back of the box).ANDAmazingly the one hand opening which I poo-pooed is really handy.I believe the box is identical to ones sold by USAG and FACOM apart from the colour. I would prefer the USAG and FACOM colours for finding things in the box, but the Stanley is usually a lot cheaper.Good box.

Good value for money
Ive just had a new garden shed erected undecided to get a new tool box as the one I had must have been nearly twenty years old. Great value for money and is just the right size for the tools I need.

Usability
The box is of good quality its made well BUT the top tray tends to fall in box off its seating which then tips contents as in screws ext in box.. I just feel the seating for the tray shold have been better,,, Overall its ok
