TimexExpedition Shock XL Men's 50mm Resin Strap Watch

I wanted a waterproof watch at an affordable price by a good make. This Timex watch delivers on this so far. I’ve tested it under water and it seems fine. It has water resistance up to 200 metres/20 bar so should be good for most things, shower, bath, sauna, swimming, hot tub, scuba diving and gym etc, however it is not a certified diver’s watch.The round face is a good nod to the traditional and looks good. The strap is very comfortable and locks together well and is very secure. The only down side is that the display is not as bright as I would have liked but it can be illuminated by pressing a button on the right hand side. The set and mode buttons on the left can sometimes be inadvertently pressed when worn with layered clothing. But otherwise the expedition watch is a good solid outdoor digital watch and reasonably easy to set up.

Good size Can easily read it without the need for glasses. Good robust work watch

Solid build, fantastic features, however it gains almost as much time in a day as my automatic watch, around 6-8 seconds per day, which by quartz standards is pretty poor. Especially when compared to my g-shock which gains around 1-2 second per week (and it doesn't have multi band 6). If you aren't bothered by accuracy and are after a good looking watch with some really nice features, it's brilliant. If like me, you are focused more on accuracy and don't want to have to sync your watch to the correct time every couple of days, then it's probably not for you.

Love the feature set:1) Chronometer2) Countdown timer3) Vibrating alarm - super useful for an early start.4) 3 other alarms5) hydration (or anything else) reminder - recurring timer6) Occasion alarm - for a particular date and timeI also like that you can choose, in the settings, how many of these screens are visible and how many are removed from the watch (effectively) so you can keep what you use and ditch what you don't - which makes for a lean and neat UI.The negative display is one of the most legible I have ever seen. The digits are large and the colour is slightly yellow, and nicely contrasty.I went snorkelling with this and it held up nicely. I don't know how tough it is but so far so good.I do like that the resin band on this hinges nicely and the watch can lie flat.What I don't like:1) The watch case is a bit uninspiring. Dull even. The white ring is not a great looking design.2) The strap is, as ever (on the Timex tough expeditions and Ironman watches) very hard to replace because the pins are narrow whilst the strap is wide - so I think only a Timex replacement would fit - not easy to put a different strap on or put a nato band on. Thats irritating to me, as resin straps are not the most comfortable.

This is a great watch at a great price with a two year guarantee. It’s easy to set up and easy to use. I like the multi-functions including the vibration function for when you want a reminder but don’t want to disturb others.

Loses a few seconds every time the alarm goes off. So it's unable to perform its basic function, which is to accurately tell the time. Also difficult to read the negative display under low light conditions. Sent it back for a refund.

Extremely happy with this priduct. This is my second watch from this brand (I want to buy new one, because of scratches on the wrist, no question to the watch). About 5 years ago, I bought exactly this watch, and even now ( on my point) nothing can beat this watch in this category ( price/ quality)

This is my 1st digital watch in over 30 years. The presence of the watch on my wrist is just right. Was unsure of size before I purchased watch, glad I bought it. Looks amazing on. Bought on Amazon timex site as out of stock on main site. The digital numbers are easy to read in all light, especially with indiglo. The vibrating alarm feature is excellent and woke me up when I tried it. Great quality
