Can be glitchy like most GoPro products!
I've given the remote 5* but like all the GoPro products I've bought, they can be hit and miss in operation. When both products are turned off my remote seems incapable of switching on the GoPro hero 9 Black. I have to turn the Hero 9 black on manually and then switch on the remote and it will connect within a few seconds. It operates fine then and can be turned on and off to a standby like mode. Almost £80 is a massive amount of money for a remote which isn't perfect but works ok most of the time. Battery life is good. Before I bought it I'd had one of the cheap copies which was slightly less reliable than the official remote but for 20% of the cost was an half decent buy.

Very deceivingly robust mount !
The media could not be loaded. Bought this item before and 2years later due to my own fault, I find myself buying a new one. This mount fits onto the R&G front wheel sliders, that I fitted to my motorcycle, and has provided some great wheel level footage from my Go Pro, on the not so great roads around Scotland. Yes it is plastic & I had my doubts, but Camera attached ( with a safety line ) at spindle level ,the GoPro anti shake is more than capable of capturing great footage. The reason I find myself buying a new one is due to the fact I dropped my padlock ( big one,16mm chain ) onto it, on a concrete floor,my fault ! As long as quality control hasn't dropped ,I'de give this mount 5 stars all day. I could be wrong but me be the higher grade plastic is meant to flex and act as a shock absorber for there camera, Who knows ? but it seems to work .Update on this item it's still sturdy, 600 miles attached to R&G aero side mounted sliders on a trip from Edinburgh to the Isle of skye and back and I have some great footage and no problems with shaky footage or fears of it falling off. I'm happy !

Do I really need it
Product works perfectly, links to gopro everytime and controls it perfectly, the only thing I can see that's beneficial is if you have your go pro on a long selfie stick or taking selfies as pushing the buttons on the camera does the same thing, it's a quality product which works perfectly and some other user's may have other scenarios the find it better for, but there not cheap so think carefully if you will fully utilise it ??

Rated 3* due to GoPro’s clever marketing
How is that? The most common mount on their cameras is, the buckle mount. Can you buy it singularly??No.Are there alternatives?Yes, loads. But I’ve had as much as 3mm play on the ’others’They are cheap copies, not totally compatible and produce wobbly shots.A case of get what you pay for?I think GoPro are ok with this because they can sell you their premium grab bags of parts, that you will only use about 25% of and, you don’t get a bag! It’s just very clever marketing.Have to say, the buckles are great quality and lock together solid. They are just not copied in any great detail so any copies I’ve had, now I’ve started to use this mount more, are just no good.

Nifty little mount
Bit expensive but you pay for quality: the plastic is very tough and and it mounts easily to things.I used this on my ski-pole; it was easy to add/remove it in the cold and the components held-up well in the adverse weather. Haven't tried it on my bike yet but it will most certainly fit easily to the handlebars and seat stem.Be careful when removing it (and other GoPro mounts) on the go: I nearly lost the nut from the end thinking it was glued in!If you want to film more interesting angles than from your helmet for cheap, buy this!

Best simple solution
I bought this headstrap after searching and evaluating wich accessory would be the most adequate (without needing for starters multiple accesories) to use on the beach inside the water, either simply with friends diving or surfing with freedom of angle.Although I think its fun to see te footage of the fixed cameras on surfboards, I prefer the freedom of filming what I'm seeing and where I'm looking at, and so I thought this would be a good solution and it really is: if there's a bigger swell you can take it outside inside the wetsuit and capture footage outside, or if its softer or if you have more confidence use it while you surf the wave and while your friends pass by surfing, its great!I also bought it thinking on capturing aditional footage in specific "environments", so that I wouldn't damage my other camera, and have been using it when I ride my mountain bike with good results. And for example based on other reviews, I can use it on my snowboard helmet (I have the permanent fixations, but if you think about it this way you can change with a friend and he films you), and recently lend it to a friend that made a 100km marathon and used it to capture footage, he arrived yesterday and I can't wait to see the result and edit it!For me the headstrap is the best simple solution for my purposes, highly recomended, high quality product. ;)

Works well with my gopro 10
This is so much better than my previous remote. It connect with no problems and though more expensive is worth the extra.
