Stradles An Outlet Box With a Threaded Hole, Exactly As Shown
This piece of hardware is to solidly situate a threaded hole in the center of an outlet box having an opening dimension between 50 and 62mm (1.87-2.44"). Actually, the device can be used to straddle any opening within these dimensional limites to situate the threaded hole within a range of positions approximately midway.Two pointed spikes are threaded lengthwise into either end of a tough nylon center spindle. The protruding lengths of these spikes are adjusted to embed the spikes into the sidewalls of the outlet and lock the threaded midpoint hole into position.While this product is designed to repair a certain type of damaged outlet box used in Europe, it can be used to add a threaded screw hole within the opening of any box having a dimension within the above limits.The product is well made dimensionally stable.. The type of nylon used is quite rigid and strong.
