I've put over 500 miles on this bike commuting back and forth to work. I'd say I have a pretty good feel for it by now.I would definitely buy this bike again. This was my first e bike, and I'm so glad I didn't listen to the guy at the bike shop trying to convince me to buy a $3000 dollar 500w bells and whistles version. The hiboy is faster, sleeker and whole lot cheaper.It rides great and I've got up pass 30mph on downhill grades. The fat tires make for such a smooth ride. Not a huge fan of the half twist throttle. If I was you I'd get in the habit of turning the bike on, and off while you are seated on it. I was getting off one day while it was still on, and I twisted the throttle by accident, and shot off like a rocket with me along with it. I would suggest getting hydraulic brakes for it, or really good pads to replace the factory ones which are junk. Get better pedals as well, and I highly would suggest getting rear view mirrors.This bike is heavy at 65 pounds so you might want to think about that if you live upstairs. If you run out the battery it's going to be tough cranking those pedals. I would never take this bike on serious MTB trails. This bike is for streets and gravel paths.I weigh around 200 pounds, and it scoots me around pretty well. However, there is not a lot of get up a go from a stand still using the throttle or pedal assist. I'm sure someone lighter than me would notice a difference.I've had no problems with the motor or battery. My biggest issues with this bike is it pulls up 08 error codes almost daily. I'm not sure why, it could be a short in the wiring or the controller is bad. It gets annoying. It's also a noisy bike. Not terribly so, but there is some noticeable noise. It's been that way since I got it, nothing is perfect. If you are new to ebikes, or just don't want to spend that much, this bike is the way to go. You can always upgrade what you want.

I am impressed with this bike! I have ridden it in -1 degree Fahrenheit weather for many days in a row and it has performed very well. Most parts are well built from the few spills I've taken as a first-time fat tire biker, tires have lasted through multiple terrain, over roots, branches, mud, frozen ground, and snow.Charging is simple and have only had to replace the brake pads once since purchasing it. The torque is a nice blend of constant work to get up a hill along with my effort to get to the top. Summertime riding has been smooth yet steady speed. Recommended!

This is a well made, good quality bike with good, mountain bike appropriate parts selection. Except for the brakes. I cannot figure out why they would use cheap, low quality cable brakes on this bike, when good quality hydraulic brakes are available for pretty much the same price. The brakes require much more effort to use, and are much less effective, and a *lot* noisier than hydraulic brakes of the same size would be. One other annoying quirk of this bike is the PAS controller. It cuts out for almost a full half-revolution of the crank when you shift gears. That's kinda dumb. If it was a mid-drive motor that could make sense, to take some torque off the chain while shifting gears, but since this is a hub-drive bike, it has the opposite effect, and increases torque on the chain while shifting gears! It's also really annoying when you're climbing a hill, and all of a sudden your assist goes away when you shift down! Anyway, mostly impressed with the bike, just a few annoyances.

I now have about 100+ miles on the HiBoy and it has operated prefectly. The battery has been much better than I expected. I do between 20-40 mile rides and get home with 40% on the longest which was 38.7 miles. It will go up to 29.6 MPH but most the time I am around 20 MPH. The gears and shifting are perfect and are very fast and smooth changing gears and one of the best features on this bike. It is very comfortable and the seat is a million times better than expected. Not to big not to small, just right. I have had zero issues and the bike comes 90% built, add front tire and handlebars and go. Fast and good instructions. I have seen a few youtube videos from bike reviewers who all were very surprised about this bike and that is the reason I purchased it. I am very happy with this bike. I also have a Super73 and a Onyx RCR and this is a wonderful addition to my collection. Can't go wrong with this one. Very happy customer.

While the saying goes, “you get what you pay for”, this product fails to meet any expectation of being a quality or reliable product. I have experienced nothing but problems with the bike since it arrived. The brakes (an essential part of an electric bike that travels at high speeds) did not work past the first day. The front brakes have to be adjusted after every ride in order to work and the back brakes do not work AT ALL. The front tire skewer was faulty and resulted in me purchasing a new skewer on my own. When I contacted the company they asked me to send a picture of my “scooter” and disregarded the entire section about the faulty brakes. Having purchased the warranty for the bike, I’m confused by what is actually covered since nothing seems to work. The problems with the bike have continued, as today the kickstand fell off. Save your money, and your teenager’s life, by not purchasing this bike. Very disappointed.
