Spot on for the price 👌🏼
After reading the other reviews I too was very sceptical, yes I'd tie something around it when folded away to stop the legs from falling down and the building instructions are shocking but if your using it to lift an engine then clearly you should have enough common sense to be able to put it together without them. Best I can advise is bolt together loosely, test it and then tighten everything up. Works superb for at home and DIY guys. Would defo reccomend for the price, and it's strong and sturdy enough to do the job, I used it to lift a twinturbo V6 with gearbox(240kg).

Substantial and safe , very impressed
I echo what others have said about the instructions but there is an exploded diagram which is itemised so easy to confirm which bolt goes where. Once assembled it was easy to move my engines single handed with confidence. Easy to use and substantialy built Im very happy with my purchase

Well made
Good, solid construction. One small bolt missing (but extra washer & nut...) but otherwise complete.Using threaded bolts as pivots is not good engineering, but at the price, and for the use it will get, not a problem.Very pleased with it- allowed me to dismantle and transport my heavy machine tools.

Jack failed on first use
Not very happy. I was using the engine hoist jack within tolerance for the first proper time to remove my engine and the bottle jack FAILED not supporting the weight. I only got it 5 months ago and just built it. I'm not impressed on its first use! Don't buy

Watch out for build quality
Assembly was reasonably straight forward even though the instructions are just a drawing. The load carrying beam is designed to slide in and out of a heavy duty square tube (see picture). That tube had major welding on the inside along its length - so the load carrying beam couldn't slide. I decided to fix that problem rather than send the unit back. With much grinding eventually the beam could slide - although it can still catch. Overall this unit works, it is a cheaper unit for a reason. The legs go vertical for transport purposes - there is no lock. I recommend you secure them upright with a strap as they can otherwise drop - they are heavy and could cause damage if they fall unexpectedly.

Best value for something so affordable
I bought this to pull the engine out of my Morris Minor and it was absolutely worth the money. I've used it to pull the engine twice with very little issue both times. The fact it folds away for easy storage helps a lot too as its never in the way if I need it

Good kit!
I bought this then read reviews after and was worried lol but it went together straight away, everything's In line and works fine, when assembling kit like this you don't tighten everything straight away as you assemble it or things won't line up, put everything in place then tighten everything up, also another review that it drops slowly when suspended for long periods, we have had an engine on the crane all day long and it hasn't moved an inch, like all hydraulic lifts, if you don't lock it off tightly it will drop, I suspect this was the reason it happened to them, this is a good bit of kit, especially for the price, well worth the money, I'd recommend

Satisfactory at best.
OK BUT Poor engineering quality, holes not drilled out properly making it difficult to locate pins and bolts, bracing straps will not fit as holes drilled in the wrong place, hole in jib for chain to fit is drilled in the wrong place too. Also this lift would benefit from another pair of wheels to aid moving when in the folded position. Also build instructions are so small it is very difficult to see what goes where. If you don’t mind drilling a few holes this is the crane for you.
