Night and Day
The media could not be loaded. As an underwater photographer, the Orcatorch d710V dive light is a natural addition to my camera rig. Out of the box, the dive light comes with a ball mount and two usb-c chargeable batteries with both batteries being able to run 90+ min each at max brightness underwater. The construction of the dive light is solid, with an identical size to the normal d710 and using the same batteries making it an ideal pair. The two can be easily differentiated with the video light having a shallower reflector. The dive light produces a clean white and uniform illumination across a broad area, allowing for both macro shots and wide shots restoring a full spectrum of color to return to the subject. With high dynamic range of colors, the post processing of images becomes trivial allowing me to spend more time showing my pictures off to friends and family who have never seen the underwater world.Commonly diving at walls in SoCal in 60-80 ft, this has also become my preferred dive light and saving my D710 spot dive light for communication and as a backup. Although the light comes with a red and UV light, I haven’t found much of a use for these features. With over 15 dives and counting with this dive light, Im quickly building an abundance of videos to share with my familyPictures: with and without light. No amount of post processing can bring the orange back to the starfish

Powerful, lightweight camera light
I recently bought the Orcatorch D710V underwater video light for a friend who is an avid diver because other friends had told me how great it was. She has already used it a few times and says she loves it. She does very long dives to look for interesting creatures and photograph them. She said the light on high power lasted for at least 90 minutes, turning it off once in a while for a few minutes in between searching, and that it was great on a dive approaching dusk. She said the light is very bright and that the red light could be useful for approaching shy creatures, while the violet light could be interesting for admiring corals at night. She said she likes that the button allows her to switch between modes very easily and turn the light off to save battery while she's swimming and not searching. She loves that it comes with a mount to attach on the camera (with a separately purchased Strobe Mounting Ball for Cold Shoe and butterfly clamp.) This makes using the light as a camera focus light very easy. She says if she uses two together, she thinks they will be great for video, or for very long dives because if one goes out after 90 minutes on high power, the other can be turned on to continue the dive, or both can be used together for super brightness. She says the light is lightweight, well built and strong, and she is very happy with it. She highly recommends it for underwater photographers and videographers. She said she told one of her close friends and expert photographers to ditch her overpriced famous name brand, heavy lights and switch to a pair of these for her professional camera rig.

Perfect multi purpose dive torch
The media could not be loaded. This by far the best torch I have used on dives.1. Light weight2. UniverCamera mount if needed or wanted3. Add red light back4. Bright white light5. Dimmer light when filling in6. UV light great at night lights up phosphorus corals and fish7. Durable8. Nice small size for the power9. Batteries last10. Easy recharge batteries11. Price value is amazingPerfectly honest I have been using the light looking for one bad thing to happen so I could report that also. Nothing bad to say. Not even anything average to say.I was using on a dive in Cozumel and two people went to purchase them after the dive.Must have piece of equipment for every diver.I will update with some underwater pictures as soon as I get them downloaded.

Great video light, bright, quality build, versatile
The media could not be loaded. I recently added the ORCATORCH D710V dive light to my dive kit, and it has quickly become indispensable. The tri-color sources (white, red, and violet) are incredibly convenient, saving me the hassle of packing multiple lights when I travel. This means less weight for my checked bag. This is a BIG deal since I travel with a large camera rig and all my own dive gear. The wide 120-degree beam is perfect for even my wide-angle shots. See posted picture in my back yard for example. Very versatile, meeting all of my needs. The battery indicator provides real-time power updates, so I never run out of juice mid-dive. I usually get 2 full dives running the light nonstop before its half drained. Plus, the battery fits my other Orca torch light so now I have extras. Solid build of durable titanium alloy. I’ve already dropped it a couple times, oops, not even a dent. The power button feels solid, easy to operate by feel even with gloves. Nice portable zippered case, perfect for storage and transport.I highly recommended!
