This Joseph Joseph rice spoon has a well designed bowl that is perfect for rice. I like the integrated 'stand' that allows the spoon to sit on your worktop without the bowl part touching the worktop. I just wish the handle was a bit taller - I find it a bit stubby to reach into my rice cooker.

This rice spoon by Joseph Joseph from the ‘Elevate’ range arrived attached to a cardboard label. The rice spoon measures approximately 19.8cm in length, 6.7cm in width with a depth of 2.5cm and the brand logo embossed onto the top of the handle.The first impression of the kitchen implement was very positive with a sturdy stainless-steel handle covered in a soft light grey silicone and a darker grey silicone spoon end. The silicone is BPA free, is heat resistant up to 210°C and is also suitable for use with non-stick cookware. The textured surface on the spoon allows easy portioning of the rice and is perfect for use with my rice cooker.The handle of the rice spoon is weighted and in combination with the integrated tool rest means that when you set the rice spoon down, the spoon end doesn’t touch the kitchen work surface making it more hygienic and prevent any unnecessary mess. I do think that this is a really neat idea and in practice does work well. The rice spoon is easy to clean and is also dishwasher safe.Priced at £8 at the time of reviewing, this is a nice quality piece of kitchenware made from good quality materials. I would be very happy to recommend the rice spoon as I believe it will last for years to come.

This rice spoon is well made and durable.It’s heat resistant, look nice and comfortable to hold.Better than expected.I would recommend it.

I bought it to get the rice out of the pressure cooker but find it too small, takes ages to do and doesn’t grab all the rice from the sides and I can’t really find a good use for it. It’s another useless gadget lounging in the drawer
