A Solid Mic
Simply put, the Phenyx Pro PDM35 is solid. The build quality surpassed my expectations--a metal chassis with a jack that grips the cable tight. Sonically, it’s not as crispy bright as most other condensers, but I actually prefer that. This mic is also slightly less sensitive than others I’ve tried, which makes it more suitable for stages with louder drummers. I experimented using a single PDM35 as a drum overhead and it sounded phenomenal! I’m very happy with my purchase.

An Okay Condenser Microphone
This microphone picks up a lot of sound.If used overhead of a drum set, it can pick up most of the hits fairly well.It could also be used if placed in front of a band, similar to a shotgun mic.However, I can only recommend this as a backup for live shows.It is nowhere near the quality needed for recording, and multiple would be needed to properly mic a drum set.

Great budget option for hihats
Bought this mic for my Meinl hihat. Requires XLR cable and a 48V interface input. Comes with a mic holder and a pop filter. Sounds great for practice and novice recording sessions. Excelent buy for the drummer on a budget.Well built. Clear sound quality. Might have to put EQ on hihat to get it sounding crispy.

Small electret
I plugged it in and it worked. I immediately opened it up and found a small electric microphone inside. There is also a bunch of metal weights on the inside to make this thing seem heavy. I bought it to modify, but I am not sure if I can get the weights out. If you are looking for a cheap microphone, I would buy something else.

Very Responsive!
The media could not be loaded. The microphone is Super responsive. It runs pretty hot, works well for drums, even better for acoustic guitar. I am overall very satisfied with the microphone as many aren't built quite as well as this one is. 5 Stars

Amazing!
This is an amazing product! Gave 4 out of 5 stars due to the mud i had to remove between 250 hz and 400 hz. Other than that, it is amazing. Well built, excellent warmth and brightness without alot of high end noise. Just a great product.
