This stuff is brilliant!
Using to hold things in place and even took the risk of using this on its own to hold a couple of test motors with propellers in place on a board. They didn't budge a mm and I still have limbs. Excellent stuff!

Strong, sticky, leaves a residue.
I bought this to hold down smallish hi-fi components - some are too light to adjust, or insert and remove a headphone plug without them moving even when stacked. Black Tac works very well, I've used remarkably little to stick the components together and to the table. There's some movement but I think adding a bit more will solve that, I guess at £7 for three feet I was a bit stingy when applying it!.Just handling it leaves a black stain which means that although it can be removed with isopropyl alcohol, I'd be wary of what I applied it to just in case it left a permanent stain. When it comes to remove it Blac Tac doesn't behave like Blu-tac. It's tackier, softer, which means it doesn't always come off in one lump. It's kinda stringy and needs more care in removal.Overall it's very good stuff to have around. When Blu-tac or even double sided tape isn't suitable then Black Tac will probably do the job. I haven't tried to secure anything that heavy but for my purposes it's invaluable. Four stars because whilst it's very useful stuff, it can be a bit of a hassle to handle and is a tad pricey.

Pricey but it works well
Bought for a specific task which it was applied to and works very well. Used to have something very similar to this I was given when working on an action TV series helping out the special effects guys years ago. They referred to it as magic putty as it's very sticky and can be painted over to hide it without waiting for it to set. Funnily enough on the package box it does mention " as used by professional photographers and film cameramen". A little goes a long way.

Get Stuck In.
The material is quite amazing, holds fast to that which it should but can be pulled of if needs be and start again with no mess.

Very messy in warm situations
Strong but messy. Used this to secure dashcam cable and the recent hot weather caused it to become very tacky leaving black residue all over. Would not recommend for areas that may become warm.

Excellent stuff
We have a lovely cast iron fireplace, and the removable curved front grate was letting in a lot of cold air, or drawing warm air out of the room via mounting holes. We didn’t want permanently seal it with silicone and damage it, so this black putty is the ideal solution. It’s a great product, mouldable and flexible and has sealed the mounting holes exactly as we needed. Drafts are gone. 😀Looking at the grate from a distance you would never know the putty was there. The fireplace is not working, but if we ever decided to sell it then the putty can be removed.Really pleased it turned out so well. Wish I had found it sooner, as it has been an annoying draft since I moved into this house.Super swift delivery.
