Sounds like Hendrix
A really Hendrix-ish crunchy tone if turned all the way up. Pair it with a wash pedal and Voodoo Chile sounds legit.

Jimi sound, super portable.
Son loves his new pedal. Uses with his Stratocaster. Great to have the 9v battery option. Super jimi sound.

Great Sounding Pedal - However, the tones are on the lighter to medium side of a typical Fuzz pedal.
There are quite a lot of mixed reviews on this Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face FFM3. So depending on what you are looking for, this is either absolutely fantastic or disappointing. If you are looking for sounds of the earlier Jimi Hendrix songs (Little Wing, Wind Cries Mary, Purple Haze etc) then this is a fantastic purchase. The Fuzz Face FFM3 tones also lends itself well to bands like Cream (songs like Sunshine of your Love, Strange Brew, Cross Roads).Fuzz / Gain Range Variation - Despite some bad reviews, there is fuzz / gain on this FFM3. However, the tones are on the lighter to medium side of a typical Fuzz pedal. However, there is variation of gain depending on your amp volume. i.e. Home practice with my amp turned down, the fuzz will mildly kick-in with the dial set at 12pm and gently increase to maximum (aprox 5pm). In band rehearsals with my amp turned up, the fuzz will kick-in with the dial set at minimum at 7am and continue to significantly increase to maximum (aprox 5pm). I’ve not experienced this gain range variation with other distortion pedals. If you are looking for a fuller fuzz sound, but not over the top, then you will likely need to review and consider the Fuzz Face FFM1 (Blue – Silicon Transistor). If you are looking for a full bodied fuzz sound with lots of Low-End Gritty tones along with the High-End Harmonics, then you will likely need to review and consider either the Fuzz Face FFM2 or the FFM6 Band of Gypsys (both are Red with Germanium Transistors), or consider another make of fuzz.FFM1 (Blue – Silicon Transistors)FFM2 (Red – Germanium Transistors)FFM3 (Turquoise – Jimi Hendrix – Silicon Transistors)FFM6 (Red – Mis-Match Germanium Transistors - Band of Gypsys)My experience with this Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face FFM3 pedal, this is not quite plug and play as I needed to setup and adjust my compressor, EQ and amp accordingly to get the best tones out of this pedal.Providing you are looking for lighter-to-medium end of Fuzz sounds, as per the examples given above, then this pedal is perfect.

Great Pedal
Sounds great with volume rolled down and cranked, not extreme fuzz but very good tones and build quality

Very weak tone and almost the same as a clean sound. Spend the extra money and buy a full size!

Hits the Hendrix sound.
Purchased this after comparing several of the Dunlop Fuzz Faces. Mostly use this with a SSS Strat and a Tube Marshall. It will get you the Hendrix Fuzz tone. It will also get you some nice retro Fuzz sounds if you can find the sweetspots. I think it can start to sound quite fat and muddy with high output Humbucker guitars. Not the most versatile Fuzz but that's not an issue if you are chasing the Hendrix sound. If you've got a few Fuzz pedals and want something different it's a good addition.
