The best gate!
This gate is such a lifesaver to keep out dog out of the laundry room so the cats litter box can stay there. The little Cat door is perfect size! The set up for the gate was easy and clear directions! The gate opens easily and and super functional! This age is excellent quality for the great price.

Love this gate
With dogs and cats, we have to make sure we keep the pups away from the kitty box cruchies. We've been using everything from the expandable baby gates with the push down latch system to three panel fireplace screens. The problem is that they have to be completely removed from the doorway in order to access the rooms that hold the boxes. Finding a gate that securely and easily installs into a door frame, comes with a latched walk-through strong enough to keep out a couple of 80 pound dogs, has a cat door small enough to keep the dogs from poking their big melons through, and doesn't cost several hundred dollars has been a challenge. This gate ticks all the boxes and is less than forty bucks. Bingo!! Set up is easy enough for one person to do, though make sure to read the instructions. I missed the part that said the gate looks like it's missing a piece but really isn't, so after putting it together I was a little miffed that the gate appeared defective. It's not defective. Once you adjust the little feet to securely hold the gate in the doorway, the extra gap closes and the gate works perfectly. If you have a home built with doorways that are sized for handicap accessibility, the extra piece included with this door should be enough to make up the difference so the gate will fit.The latch is easy to operate, even for older family members, and is also almost completely silent. There are two little swing latches on either side of the bottom of the walk-through door that help keep it closed. When these are down, the door can't be pushed open by your dog pressing against the bottom of the door and popping the push button latch out of its socket. The cat door is one of the smaller I came across in searching for a decent gate option, and it's thankfully small enough that our bulldog can't get his big gob through and end up stuck. Our cats had no problem adjusting to using the new access to their litter boxes, and we no longer have pups getting into the boxes or gates crashing over in the middle of the night and scaring the poo out of a sleeping household. The gates don't look bad when installed - definitely nicer than the cheap balsa wood and plastic mesh baby gates or the bulky plastic gates secured with the push down tension bar. We wish they made this gate in a size to fit the entire doorframe so we could keep open the laundry room door but keep the cats out so they don't get into the floor joists in-between the ceiling of the finished basement and the floor up the 'regular' part of the house.

Sturdy,snug fit!
I got this to keep the dog we were looking after from going upstairs. It fit snugly in place and was easy to install. It is somewhat inconvenient if your unable to step over as you have to basically remove the whole gate and then reinstall. That was something I didn't take into consideration when purchasing. It's a good, stable, quality fence, not a gate. It adjusts to different lengths easily.

Great product idea, but poor design choice. Unless you have a large dog, the cat door must be altered
That being said... it can be altered with nothing more than a screwdriver and some zip-ties. The screwdriver part is a bit difficult, but it allows you to remove the pet door without damaging anything permanently. The metal rod they use to mount the pet door is not a solid rod. It is two rods that are connected with a spring that pushes them outwards towards their mounting hole in the gate's main door. With a bit of patience you can use the screw driver to pry the bottom rod upwards until it releases. What I did was pry the rod upwards and when I needed to re-position the screwdriver I just pulled the pet door tightly against the rod and it held it in place until I was able to pry the rod up even further with the screwdriver. I repeated this process until the door released.Once the door was loose, I used plastic zip ties to reattach the door to the opening. On my first attempt I used a top down approach. In other words, I made the opening shorter. The pet door has three sections. I covered the opening with two of the sections, but my 30 pound dog was still able to squeeze through it. I tried covering the hole with all 3 sections, but that made it too small for my cats. So, I removed it and made the hole slimmer instead. The way it is mounted leaves about a four inch gap which my 20 pound cat can squeeze through, but is too slim for my 30 pound puppy. It was a bit of a pain to work all this out, but so far, this gate is the best option I've found to allow my cats free access to areas while excluding my dog.Of course, it leaves me wondering why the door is so big. At half it's size my 30 pound dog can squeeze though it, so I imagine any 50 to 60 pound dog could get itself through the full size door. While at 1/2 its width my cat can squeeze through and my dog can't. The door would probably be better if it were something like 5 by 6 rather than 7 by 10... possibly even a bit smaller.Anyways, aside from the door... it installed VERY easily. Of course, I used the cups to keep it in place. I can see where people might be right about it being an issue if you only use tension. Also, the handle is not difficult to use. I have seen many complaints about having to use two hands to open the gate. Now, maybe I'm just a bit more dexterous than the average joe or something, but I don't have any trouble at all using one hand to operate the latch. All in all, even with the alterations I had to make to its design, it was by far the most aesthetic and economic choice I have seen for my needs. I took away one star because I think the size of the pet door was a very poor design choice in an overall great product idea.

Great pet gate for doorways
Great pet gate for doorways. Easy to use and install. I have several gates throughout the house. they are perfect for letting your dog know their boundaries that are off limits. The small pet door is perfect for smaller dogs. If you make the gate loose enough you can just use your upper leg//hip to open.If you use this gate for smaller babies and toddlers you can do the same. If you make the gate tighter it becomes a one hand open gate. Easy to open as well. The extenders work very well if need be. Measure before purchasing. The white and brown gates are both very nice looking.

Funciona!

Great for kids and small pets
Great gate for babies and pets. Easy to install and works well to keep my baby out of certain areas while giving access to my cats. The pet door is the perfect size, even my chubbier cat fits through it easily. The latch at the top is easy to use and the door can swing both ways. There is a stopper at the bottom of the door to allow it to swing in one direction or both. The only downside is that the main door is a bit small. The size is fine for the most part, but if your carrying larger objects you'll have to lift the items above the gate as the door is about a foot in from the walls on both sides.
