Armitage Shanks Orion 3 Toilet Seat and Cover White

We had bought a cheap replacement loo seat at home bargains...assuming that loos have a near universal shapeThis is an erroneous assumption and the HB seat did not fit our looOrdered this in the run up to christmas and was told it would be delivered in JanuaryPure delight when it was delivered on Christmas eve.... and it fitted perfectly....huzzah

Arrived on time, easy to fix up and does the job perfectly. Price higher than the last one I bought but it is important to get the correct toilet seat to fix the toilet bowl. Bought a cheaper seat years ago and it never fitted the toilet bow correctly and was a pain, the lid kept falling down because it did not fit correctly with the bowl, so always make sure you check the make and model of your old seat.

Most positive aspect is that this is a genuine Armitage Shanks product and arrives in AS packaging.It does fit perfectly and is relatively easy to instore.Negative is that as per previous reviews the seat is light weight plastic and no where near the quality of the original seat. It seems very poor value for money BUT it does fit the toilet!

Have been finding it very difficult to find genuine replacement seat for my 10 year old AS Sandringham toilet with 2 unfortunate experiences of inferior "universal fit" seats being supplied under the pretext they were "recommended" by AS - this is a like-for-like Sandringham replacement - only downside is the poor finish where it was separated from the mould (as commented by others) - but its small and at / on the back edge of cover out of view so I can put up with it !

Having tried several alternatives without success, I have been forced to pay through the nose for a replacement seat for my Armitage Shanks toilet. Other seats will not stay up, because the "standard" positioning of the hinge and fixings now mean that the seat does not lean back against the cistern.The seat was delivered VERY quickly, so that's a plus. It also appears to be fairly heavy duty -- better than some generic types. However, I am disappointed with the finish, with moulding "excess" roughly and poorly removed (if at all). The instructions are minimalist and cover four different fixing types on one A4 sheet (three of which are redundant - you choose) .... so a diagram and a few words covering a quarter of a sheet for a fairly complex fitting and one that you DO NOT wish to get wrong - as everything is plastic.

Good product. I ordered this to replace the exact same seat which was broken. Only problem was both the large cam washers were missing from the packet so I had to use the ones from the old seat, otherwise I would not have been able to install it.

I was delighted to see that this item was obtainable even though the one it replaced was 30 years old. On ordering, I was doubtful about it fitting but thankfully my fears were unfounded. Thank you Armitage Shanks for keeping to the same format over the years and also for including the fitting instructions which to my oldie husband was a blessing.
