Great artwork for a bad movie!
It’s nice to see Disney/marvel put effort into something. They didn’t put much creative effort into this movie, which was subpar at best, but they did a great job on the Steelbook design. The first one I received was open, no damage, but no way would I pay $60 + for a used Steelbook. The replacement was perfect. Being international the standard blu-ray under the 4k disc won’t play on most US players, which is fine by me. I only use the 4k version. This will either appreciate in value, or they’ll release a “reprint” and it’ll be worth less than retail. Time will tell.

Undervalued sequel that is better than audiences response to it.
A surprisingly entertaining and light film that got slammed by viewers and some critics at the time, I can only suspect the hate is due to Marvel fatigue (no, not the character). Despite a narratively muddled first act, the film is pretty fun.The destruction of the Supreme Intelligence on Kree causes their own to be in peril. The new leader of the Kree named Dar-Benn. She is determined to find the Quantum Bands. Legend has it that it can open Quantum portals that will allow her to restore her world. Because Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) destroyed the Supreme Intelligence at the end of the first film, Captain Marvel is in her sights as well.Meanwhile, Marvel, Ms. marvel and Monica Rambeau become quantum entangled exchanging places whenever they use their power which leads to a comical attempt to fight off the bad guys.Although the tonal shifts can be a bit abrupt at times, the film is a lighter romp similar to some of the more recent Marvel films. It’s also quite a bit of fun if uneven. There is a Bollywood inspired sequence that is quite funny and fun as well.It does feel like the film was trimmed to tighten up the narrative but that sacrifices some of the background and prevents further character development for the under developed villain (a problem that some of the Marvel films suffer from). The reality is that it feels as if two narratives were put together from two different films. A lot of post-production tinkering feels like that went on as well. The 4K and Blu-ray look top notch here. A 2K intermediate was used for the final version prepared theatrically and that’s likely used here as well. Fine detail is still top notch if this upscaled. The streaming version also looks quite good as well. The Atmos mix sounds terrific. The 7.1 mix is terrific. Overall, Disney has stepped up their game with the A/V presentations of their films. The special features include a commentary track from the director, deleted scenes, a gag reel, a production featurette that’s pretty light. The commentary is only on both discs included with the rest of the special features on the Blu-ray.A light, frothy and surprisingly fun (even though there is a threat to Earth and there’s the potential for death to others), “The Marvels” is far better than its reputation and deserved better at the box office subtracted from all the political nonsense from the right.

Heroes Of The higher Consciousness
'The Marvels' has the new mythology of Captain Marvel(Brie Larson), infused with light energy and sunburst in outline plying through the sun. This Marvel's Universe film has for its inspiration the folklorish Marvel comic book trope of the harnessing of the power of the planets, and space-time, in which a hero or heroine, villain or villainess, can coordinate creation. Director Nia Dacosta's vision has The Marvel's, three super heroines, forged in love and kindness in familial cultures, and this heritage has the whole playing field. The wisdom to have experiential scope on the development of these cosmic characters to expand the narrative is the push of creativity towards progress. 'The Marvels' are the universe's targets for dreams and this motif subordinates the control over solar bodies to the high soap opera between good and evil antics.Kamala Khan(Iman Vellani) is a teenager who is to become a protege of Captain Marvel, who is Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, in her modest form. The colossal back story treasury of access to worlds as typical errand runs has as side story the Kree going after the Skrull, from conflicts of old. The little mementos and personal belongings of Kamala reveal her adoration of Captain Marvel. It is realized that Kamala has one of the hyper powerful bangles that is a tool used to forge jump points in the galaxy. Jersey City, where Kamala lives, is the setting for extreme evocations of higher spheres of interaction. This witness to Kamala's motivations has allowed Kamala's family to muse over her predilections as body swapper. Here to, we see with these actresses the ability to propel their particular idiosyncracies within our capacity for acceptance. Captain Marvel can be poised like a parade marshal and yet be awed by child like wonder at the same time. Dar-Ben(Zawe Ashton) is the villain, or villainness, and she wields the 'Universal Weapon', a long handled cubed head hammer of propulsion. Dar-Ben is awesome. When she seeks justice for her ravished sense of honor her teeth grind and her darkish eyes and frozen face become animated like a desensitized zombie. Dar-Ben is Supremor of Hala and has the other bangle of quantum leap strength. Teyonah Paris plays Monica Rambeau, the third member of the new team 'The Marvels'. Samuel Jackson returns as Nick Fury, friend and advisor to Captain Marvel. All of these heroines and anti heroines are their own dream forgers. Retailed within random auras of imaginative enhancement these guardians look compassionate to us.
