Lonely Planet Germany (Travel Guide)

Nice layout.. but compressed/missing info
OK first off this is a guide to the whole of Germany so bits have to be skipped. Second.. this is a new Lonely Planet layout to me. It's clearly been designed around quick snippets of info that people are now used to visually on Social Media platforms etc. Its quite nice. But surprised at a couple of omissions. There is some space at the back for a couple of pieces on beer, Bach and autobahns for example. But under Frankfurt for example I can find no reference to Apple Wine and the Sachenhausen area. This is was a key part of the city for me.Second.. I was interested to read up on Rostock, a city of quatrer of a million people and voted one of the most liveable cities in Europe. Yet, unless I am missing it, I cannot find a single line on the city.

Superficial
There are better guides around. This one is jarringly Americanised and concentrates on a small number of honeypot destinations. Also what’s the point of visiting another country if you just seek out restaurants and clubs that you can find at home? The advice on travel practicalities is painfully superficial.
