Liver Of Sulfur, 4 Ounce Jar

I'm happy, it worked. Instructions were good. Delivery was quick. The material is dry and in chunks. Just break off some per instructions and dissove it in water. Becareful not to leave you copper in the solution too long or it will look black.

This stuff is so amazing! Much easier to use than the gel, liver of sulfur and less messy. A little goes along way, which is really great if you’re just doing one or two projects at a time. Seems to have a much less potent smell than the gel as well. I highly recommend this product.Make your water hot and run your project under hot water as well for best results.

This worked well and very quickly to darken clean copper. I was hoping for dark brown but the color is more dark charcoal. The package suggests a ratio of 1 ounce of product to 1 quart of water, which I did. The action is quite fast so get your copper in and out quickly and rinse it off. Too long and it forms big black flakes all over the surface. The instructions say if that happens to add more water. I had to double the water to get the reaction down to a duration I could deal with with my fairly large object (couldn't dunk it). I feel the instructions should be more conservative of the product and start with 1/2 ounce of chemical to a quart of water. That way you can always add more chemical if needed instead of using twice as much as needed and maybe having to clean all the black flakes off of your object to start over.

Of course is smells! its supposed to. Was actually surprised at the amount in the container, More than enough and more than expected. Worked well on my copper and even on my bronze restoration patina.

As advertised. Nice affordable small quantity in a well sealed container. Worked well which means it is a fresh product

i've recently switched back from the gel liver of sulfur to the chunks. i wasn't getting the deep black that i like. the chunks seem to be working much better and the color is richer.

Easy to store and keep dry. Mix what you need when you need it so that it stays “good” when you need it! Purchased for my art class to use to patina sheet metal.
