Returning home from back surgery I was unable to shower safely. I looked at a number of grab bars sold on Amazon. This product looked well-made and had great reviews. The reviews spot on. They are of great quality and support my weight. The suction cups so securely adhere to the shower walls they feel as if they are permanently installed. You would expect a product of this quality to cost a lot more. They are a great value for the money spent. I could not be more pleased.

I bought these so I could shower. after I had knee surgery to replace my ACL and remove 1/3 of my Meniscus. I am in a full leg immobilizer for a few months and was non-weight bearing for a few weeks.They are easy to install and they stay put. Like anything with a suction cup, you need to clean the surface 1st.I installed them about a month ago and they have not budged. They are very secure and I feel confident that they will not come off. It is very reassuring.I had previously bought a set for my Mother-in-law when she was having some back issues so I knew they would work very well. She also loves them.

Make sure to clean the surface where you plan to install the grab bars.A 70% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol is an excellent cleaning solution for this application & inexpensive.It will air dry quickly as well.Figure out your EXACT desired positioning of the grab bar before you touch the wall w/them.The suction cups are quite " Sticky" & will adhere immediately so pick your desired location well.I found that it was difficult to remove the grab bar but maybe it was because I didn't pull the tab back up far enough to release the suction cup(s)I didn't want to lose any of the suction power by trying to remove the grab bar & as I had chosen my desired location of the grab bar well I was very satisfied w/the location of the grab bar.Note: I have a subway tile look tub surround that has the look of recessed grout lines & the grab bar would have gone over the recessed grout lines no matter which way I placed the grab bar on one side or the other on the tub surround.I didn't want to attach the grab bar where one or the other suction cups would have been over the recessed grout line creating a dip where the suction cup would attach & possibly losing adhesion to the tile look tub surround.I cured that by placing the grab bar diagonally so as to achieve a nice flat surface to adhere to.You would not have that concern with a smooth surface tub surround.Overall I am VERY satisfied w/this product. The "sticking" suction cup adhesion power is substantial & I gave the grab bar a couple good "tugs' & it did not move or slip at all.Time will tell but overall I would give this 5 stars & would purchase again.If your elderly or have a disability & have ever worried about a slip or fall in the tub do not hesitate & install these now. DO NOT WAIT !One slip or fall could have serious or even deadly consequences.Be safe & well.

This is a case of you get what you pay for, and I'm not sure that paying more is necessarily better.These work better if you dampen the suction cups before applying. Texture is important. We large tile in the shower, but it's not completely smooth. One side has come loose several times. Make sure before reapplying that you scrub down underneath where you want to stick the cup to make sure there's no residue, and then quickly reapply.Once applied, they're quite sturdy. I have a 290lb person using one on the sink top and one on the shower tile to lower herself onto a transfer bench, and they haven't slide or come off. You do want to watch them. Every 3rd to 5th use I've had to reapply one of the 2 cups on each bar, but it's quick and easy to do, and we don't have the best surfaces for either.

These were easy to install and *very* sturdy! I was really impressed with the quality. They have been up for four months including in a shower and they are still completely secure and reliable.

Bought for our 86-year-old aunt who just broke a hip. She lives in an apartment, so this option is great because they require no mounting screws. Fits on a standard tile and the suction is strong and secure. The ability to relocate the handles is great so as she moves from sitting while showing back to standing this product allows easy removal and re-installation at different heights as needed.Make sure tile is clean and free of soap scum before installing. ensure suction cup is on tile and not on grout lines. Great product she loves them!
