GERBS Lightly Sea Salted Whole Pumpkin Seed 1 LB, Top 14 Allergy Free, Protein packed Superfood Snack, Non GMO, Grown USA & Roasted small in batches

I bought a bag of these pumpkin seeds as I wanted the seeds WITH the shells on and didn't want a high sodium product. The whole seed (including the shell) are supposed to enhance your gut and provide excellent biome nourishment, so I was excited to try these. They did NOT disappoint! In fact, had I not known, (if someone had poured these into a plastic bag or container and given them to me during the Halloween season), I would swear they were done in the home, the old fashioned way by scooping out pumpkin seeds from Halloween pumpkins while carving them. That alone gave me such a good feeling, but eating them proved all the great reviews I read. They truly are the real deal!!! They're not tough, roasted, yes, but not super tough. They are not too salty and are very satisfying. It's good to know that they are a food grown in the U.S. and processed in the U.S. While some people note they are expensive, for me, that's okay. I don't buy junk food and I know nuts in general are not cheap. I am VERY happy to support a company that provides snacks make in the U.S. with U.S. products. They are totally worth it!! I am totally grateful to Gerbs for producing such an excellent product and will continue to purchase them. Have ordered my fourth bag! (Even hubby enjoys these and says they taste like the real deal!) One last thing....I love the very tiny little pieces of pumpkin that get stuck on the seeds. Makes them SO authentic and it's so reminiscent of roasting seeds when we were younger. Such a treat! <3

I ordered a 1lb bag of the Gerbs lightly salted whole pumpkin seeds hoping that they wouldn't be too salty. The ones I've found in stores have had so much salt that I couldn't eat them. I was more than pleasantly surprised, I was taken back to my childhood when my mom would clean and toast/bake the seeds from the pumpkins we carved at Halloween, which I loved! It took me less than 2 weeks to demolish that bag, so I ordered a 2lb bag, and the quality was just as good.They are crunchy, mildly salty, and fresh, even though it's summer, which is probably the off season for growing pumpkins. I stopped using salt 35 years ago, so anything like regular chips and pretzels are way too salty for me. The lightly salted just barely make it under my salt tolerance limit and they don't have visible salt on them, it's more likely they were soaked or washed in salt water if I had to guess. There was just a small amount of salt at the bottom of the 1lb bag when I finished it. I just ordered a bag of the unsalted to try and I have high hopes.They pack a lot of fiber in a small amount, (10g per 1oz serving) which is great for helping to get my system more regular and that's a huge bonus! Plus, they keep me away from less healthy snacks. Win-win!The price is rather high, but as long as the quality remains just as high they are worth the cost for the benefits they're providing me.

I bought these because I can't find the Trader Joe's brand pumpkin seeds. In the shell with low sodium is hard to find. I've many brands that were not good. So I was deceptively, but read the reviews, and I as pleasantly surprised. They are good. The sodium isn't that bad. Crunchy, a good amount for what you pay. Will buy again for sure, in fact have bought twice.

Ordering these "Gerb" pumpkins seeds was a very unpleasant experience... a huge mistake on my part and a waste of money!I have been buying in shell pumpkin seeds for years for my pet parrot... this is his very favorite treat... and he will do about anything to get one.I decided to look on Amazon for an all natural pumpkin seed, thinking I would get a better deal. I found the company "Gerbs" and looked over some reviews and decided to order them. My first mistake (I thought) was not realizing the first bag was "jumbo" - I offered them to my bird and he quickly spit them out of his mouth! I thought "darn... maybe it's the size of them that he doesn't like"$16.99 down the drain as I don't like raw pumpkin seeds.I read a bit more, emailed the company and they said they do have a "regular" size, so I made that purchase.Same thing, my bird spit them out and would not touch them. I then smelled both bags and they both have quite a strong odor. (Not mold) but just an unpleasant odor. Another 2 pound bag, trashed.I emailed the company and Sennen G. Conte wrote me back, saying I should call him as it was hard to communicate my email. I did try and call and his voice mail was full. Over the course of emails back and forth, absolutely nothing was solved. The last I heard from him said "are both bags open?"I felt like asking if he even read my experience! Of course they are both open, how else would my parrot been able to refuse them? Instead, I simply replied, "yes, both bags are open."That was the end of Sennen G. Conte communicating with me. I have NEVER written a bad review on an Amazon product. This review is also not against Amazon but against Gerbs.I would just think, when you are dealing with the public and selling goods, it would be important to at least try to help make the customer satisfied. Clearly Gerbs is more interested in making money, than having a customer that is upset.In my opinion, something is very wrong with these seeds or the way they are prepared. Birds have a very delicate digestive and breathing system. They are very aware of things that might be bad or dangerous.I will believe my bird... if he thinks something is wrong, I sure do not want to eat them.I really think it is more the attitude of Mr. Conte that upset me, even more than the waste of money.

Everything I’ve ever found in convenient stores has been way too salty. Found some that weren’t too bad and came to Amazon to buy more. That’s when I saw these advertised as ‘slightly salted’ and decided to give them a try.Glad I did because they’re excellent! As advertised, ‘slightly salted’ and roasted perfectly to bring out the flavor of the shell when peeling them in my mouth like a parrot, and then the seed itself.I won’t bore you with the details other than to say; one year I put up 80 lbs of salted and roasted seeds myself. That’s how much I like pumpkin seeds and these are comparable to my best batch (tumble roasting at about 3lbs at a time). This product just got a customer for life.

They need work, I hoped they would be like the nice small tender/crisp ones in Mexico, so disapointed there, but maybe my expectations were too high??? Nah,, at that price they should be amazing. Not impressed, they need re-baking with spices to be yummy.

Very tasyy, nice, large size interior. I would buy this all the time, if they could keep the price down to $15/ 2 lbs.
