He's amazed that it has the same time as the house clock. Go figure. He really likes it. It doesn't do anything but tell the time, but it's cute, good price. The button to set the time is painful, but you should only need to do it once per battery. The metal box it comes in may be worth more to your kid in the long run than the watch. I wish it had a velcro band instead of a buckle, but I found very few velcro band watches for some reason. Good purchase.

I believe quality assurance is not essential to the watchmaker. Perhaps they wanted to keep the cost lower. I bought this watch for my son. On the second day, my son says, "Daddy, I can't read the time." I started to do some investigation, and I notice that if I slight tap the back of the watch the time comes back and then it goes out. Every time this happened, the time would reset, and then you had to program it again. I tried to open it, but I did not have the proper screw set to get the screw's off. I told my son we go to the near mall and have a watch repairman take a look at it. The watch repairman was able to open the watch and fix the loose connector to the battery, and I did another test, and the problem went away. It is an excellent price for this watch, but you have to pay someone to fix that issue which could have been resolved by the manufacturer. Because of that, I am giving it a two-star.

Set up is so easy! Keeps perfect time, and the five year old can and will tell you what time is is now! No need to look at your phone the wall clock, the dashboard, you have an audible time piece on your grandson’s arm!

Within days we realized that the time was not staying accurate. We thought our son was pushing buttons somehow, so we set it aside and it kept time just fine for a few days. But then he wore it again and the time was off within hours and he wasn't pushing buttons. We reset the time and then it froze on that time and stopped changing at all.The plastic is not very durable, though we expected that. But the one embellishment (the chase face) fell off after only a few days. I do not trust the durability to safely contain the button battery inside. My son loved this when he opened it but it has been a major disappointment.
