not the best, but it's okay
This was mostly tiny bits, though there were a few reasonably sized chunks, i would say it was 60% bits, 20% chunks, 10% water. That being said i don't actually mind, that worked out just fine for my recipe, though it would be nice if the picture on the listing was more indicative of what you're actually getting when you order. my primary issue with this crab is that it wasn't very flavorful, crab is generally fairly mild, but it this was very very mild.

Lovely crab chunks
This tin is filled with large juicy chunks of crab, not the weird crab mush that cheap cans are filled with. It's perfect for making crab cakes!

DON'T BUY THIS
I was expecting some quality crab meat for $45.00 /lb. but instead I got some low quality, flavorless, salty crap. It was all the ultra tiny pieces left over after the good leg and claw meat had been harvested. Stay away . . . I felt cheated.

Not chunky pieces as depicted in product listing pics.
You get a tiny 5.3 oz can of crab meat. This crab meat, according to the manufacturer, was wild caught from the waters off Patagonia, Chile. Upon opening the can my first observation was how small the pieces were ... unlike the big chunks you see in the product listing pictures. To me it looked like these were leftovers and discards from their main packing line. It does taste like crab. The meat tasted briny and was quite sweet. I cooked crab fried rice with these. Frankly, the crab meat practically disappeared. Hardly any visible pieces in the rice.In my opinion, I should be getting more chunkier pieces of crab meat not mashed up strands with just a handful of small chunks. I do believe they are real crab meat but sadly this product did not meet my expectations.

Much chunkier than cheaper store-bought cans
The other reviews make this sound like some kind of scam, but you have to remember, crabmeat is incredibly expensive. For $12 (price as of this writing), this can actually provides about the same amount and size of crabmeat as premium cans at grocery stores, and much better than cheaper cans. See included photo. That's the can under review next to a $4 can of Bumble Bee. As you can see, the latter is basically crab dust. You could make crab dip with it, I suppose, but nothing where the meat needs to be chunky or even visible. In contrast, this can has many actual big chunks. I remember seeing cans of premium chunky crabmeat at the grocery store, which were also about $12. It's actually impressive the seller can turn a profit at this price after paying for shipping and Amazon's cut.The taste is OK. I used the liquid to replace some of the liquid and salt in the dish (crab Alfredo), which also infused the sauce with crab flavor. The crab taste isn't super rich, but I guess I'll have to spend like $40 for the really rich-tasting stuff.I would have rated it 5 stars despite it not being fancy restaurant-quality because it delivers the correct quality for the price, BUT the seller catfished us by providing a product photo that's quite a bit chunkier than the real deal (and the real deal isn't that bad, so they could have just been honest and taken a photo of the actual product). So 1 star off.

Not impressed, had connective tissue strands mixed in
Okay, so this is a bit chunkier than what you get for much cheaper at the local grocery store, but the reality is this was mostly minced up already and instead of a mild crab meat flavor it was a bit fishy smelling and tasting. The product was advertised as 15 ounces of crab meat but what I got was a 5.3 oz can. I made it up to go on a salad but ended up pulling a strand of connective tissue out of the mix. Then, as I was eating the salad, I ended up pulling another one out of my mouth which totally grossed me out and at that point I was done with it completely. My dog didn't seem to mind it and finished the rest. I absolutely would not get this again.

Nice
I haven't had crab before otherwise, so I guess I can't compare it to anything but it tastes good to me.

Tastes great, but can is not 15oz just 5.3oz
I took a star off for the incorrect size label, it's not a 15oz can, it is only a 5.3oz can similar to a can of tuna. I was surprised by the taste of the Cole's snow crab meat, it was quite good, especially because it is canned. It smelled fresh as well, which was a relief. I did not receive as many large lumps as the product photos showed, and more crab sprinkle sized pieces, but there was still a fair amount of lumps. The expiration date was 12/2027. It's a bit pricey for a single 5oz can, but crab is expensive in general.
