I recently purchased this Hidden Camera Detector for an upcoming trip, and I have to say, it's been incredibly beneficial for my travel experience. The compact and lightweight design makes it incredibly easy to carry around, ensuring that I can stay vigilant without adding extra bulk to my luggage.The detector is straightforward to use, with clear instructions and an intuitive interface. It quickly scans the area for any hidden cameras or other surveillance devices, giving me peace of mind when staying in unfamiliar places. The sensitivity settings allow me to customize the detection based on my specific needs, which is a fantastic feature.

Instructions vague, not sure if it is working or not, seems cheaply made

I charged the device for over 24 hours but the device would not hold the charge. i tried 2 different outlets in case that was the issue. The box was old and worn so assume the battery was just dead upon arrival. Returned item.

I travel a lot and having a camera detector makes me feel safer especially when I travel overseas. The manual is clear to understand, the detector is easy to use with different settings. I haven’t gone to a trip yet after getting this detector but sure will bring it with me on our upcoming spring break trip. Will update my review to add more information once I get to use it for real.

This detector seems to work well in tests, and I like the adjustable sensitivity settings. I haven’t found anything in the hotels I’ve stayed in, which is a good thing! It’s easy to use, lightweight, and holds a charge well. While I can’t say for sure how effective it is against real hidden devices, it does provide peace of mind when traveling.

A counter-espionage expert rushes through the room waving a wand around and finds 4 different bugs in under a minute. Well - this - isn't - that!First off, the instructions consist of a small - tri-folded - piece of paper with micro-printing. The language is awful, and sometimes ridiculous. For example "the device uses US military technology". Really? A company in China is selling US military technology for $35? Or "the product fully meets the military and police reconnaissance functions in this field." And how's this for sexist... under the section "applicable people" it says "beautiful woman who was candidly photographed". More importantly though, this is a difficult device to understand and use effectively - and the actual instructions are shorter than this review.The device has 3 main modes. RF detection, magnetic detection, and visual inspection with a red filter.RF (radio frequency) detection works, but maybe too well. Everything has RF. Every wifi device, every bluetooth device, your Amazon Echo, that fitbit you're wearing, or smart ring - and of course the cell phone. It's all RF. More interestingly, there's other RF - like radio stations. This explains why the detector beeps when I bring the antenna next to an UNPLUGGED curling iron - the metal iron must be reflecting RF from somewhere. Walking through my house, I had to lower the sensitivity to 2 (1-5 scale) - and take off my smart ring - and leave my phone somewhere else. I plugged a spy recorder into the wall and RF didn't detect anything until I was 2 inches from the device. Of course these cameras aren't really using RF - they're recording to a micro-sd card.The magnetic detection is supposed to detect strong magnets. The instructions seem to indicate that this detects GPS trackers - I assume because they're magnetically attached to the car? In any case, the detection can't detect a refrigerator magnet at all. So I tried a strong neodymium magnet - I had to bring the detector within 2 inches of the magnet before it could be detected. I think it would be very difficult to "sweep" your car looking for these strong magnets if you have to get within 2 inches.Lastly is a visual inspection - your eyes! The device includes a red LED light. There's a red visual filter which slides up. Preferably in a darkened room, you shine the light and look through the lens, looking for reflections. Maybe that reflection is a camera lens - but basically you'll see anything shiny.The RF detection seems the most interesting/useful. If you're detecting RF someplace it isn't expected, that might be a clue. This product really needs about a 15 minute instructional video. But even with that, I'm not sure you'd be able to detect spy devices unless you already knew where to look.

Compact, easy to use, and highly effective. It quickly identifies suspicious devices with accurate results, giving peace of mind when you travel and rent places to stay like through airbnb. I also like the adjustable sensitivity.
