Churchill Makapuu Swimfins, Surf Fins One Pair

Seller sent fins our quickly… came in thrashed, albeit intact box. Fins were new, or more precisely probably a “try on, doesn’t fit, return for refund” kinda thing. These are the same fins, albeit kids size for my daughter, that I’ve used for the better part of 40 years. Purpose for purchase - an adjunct for bodyboarding (and a bit for snorkeling). I LOVE MY fins.As for fit: my daughter has a wide foot, a woman’s size 8, and her foot fits a bit floppy in the foot cavity of the fin, but she hasn’t lost one yet, so we’re inclined to keep them as her feet - god I hope not - may still grow. Even if her feet do, a tight fit is normal, but if the forefoot/toes were too tight on trying yours, and there may be SOME degree of that - I’d go a size up. These, unlike some shoes, will not stretch to fir… they’re rubber, pretty sturdy.Wash them with fresh water after use in chlorine or salt water, store out of the sun and they should last years. First of all, the fins arrived a day early. And I appreciate that. Secondly, they arrived in great condition, not used, and had a mesh bag to carry them in (if I choose to). This is my second pair. These fins are my favorite. They last for years and years. I only had to replace my old ones because I left them behind on accident when I moved.

It’s a great fin for outdoor swims. Tight and secure on your foot and if it does happen to fall off(which it won’t) then it floats on top of the water. It’s way better than putting bootys on then a fin

my son really likes these fins. he lost one side in the water so we ordered another set, however, it was too small. he needs a size ML. when you bring more in stock, we will order another set

These remain timeless classics for body-surfers and boogie-boarders! I have had some others, but the rubber was either too stiff (and hurt like crazy) or too soft and the fins fell off every wave...Somehow Churchill has found the magic for their Makapuu fins to make them fit well, and be strong yet supple - just the right balance!Even after all these years, nobody does it better....

Just like I remember. One note: if you use these bodysurfing be sure to get and use tethers. A breaking wave can pull these off your feet. For years I used a single fin I found in the surf at Sandy Beach on Oahu.

These are my very first fins and use them for bodyboarding. I really like them ,it helps you catch the waves easily and they comfortable to wear you wont be disappointed.

I used these for years as a kid and loved them. Just bought these for my daughters. Came in a Churchill box with the Makapuu “Floating Swimfins” branding. They do not float. They sink. Sizing is also difficult to get right unless you are in the store.
