Q: Is this toasted (kasha) or raw ??? I see different repsonses from people and product does not state. thanks !!!

I think people are confused when they provide the answer. This is Toasted Buckwheat which is also called Kasha. If the Buckwheat was not toasted it would be much lighter in color and greenish. Either way you can say that it's raw because it would need to be cooked to be eaten.

Probably grown in China and imported to Russia then sold to USA

Q: The date printed on the package is 1.10.17 is this the production date? or expiration date? If production date how long can I store it?

There should be a clearly stated expiration date on the product. Buckwheat is good for 20 months at room temperature post production date.

Q: What is the shelf life/expiration date for this Kasha? Can it be stored at room temperature?

As of today (9/14/2015), our current stock has a production date of June 17, 2015. The shelf life is 20 months from that date. Expiration date is January 17, 2018. The product can be stored at room temperature. Sincerely Gourmet Market
