works great for a custom shutoff switch
I have my tesla nema 14-50 charger in a metal box but planned to upgrade to a dedicated tesla home charger (until they raised the price from $350 to $450!). Wanted to retain the option of using the 14-50 plug so customized the box with this switch to run both off the same circuit (but never at the same time). In the picture I have the 240v supply running to the back half of the switch with jumpers between bank (1/5/9) and bank (3/7/11). When the switch is in position 0, all contacts are disengaged in in the OFF position. When the switch is in position 1, bank (2/6/10) is energized and will eventually be connected to the breakers on the left which will run to the new Tesla home chargers. When the switch is in position 2, bank (4/8/12) is energized which is connected to the NEMA 14-50 outlet shown. The only thing I wish this came with is a cap or covers for prevent accidental contact with the exposed terminals. I have some electrical tape on it for now but will try to make something out of plastic. On the door, there is a dedicated power meter measuring how much power is being drawn at any given time.

GOOD BEEFY Switch
I was installing a solar/inverter system in our RV and this box and the switch that goes inside it were required for the install. The box is perfect size, has knockouts in the right palces, has screw holes and the cover is made to match up with the rotary switch. The switch is beefy, solid terminals, good screws, nothing stripped out while I was installing. The switch turns into position with a soilid clack, seems sloid

Poor packing resulting in broken switch lever/handle
The lack of proper packing (or maybe it was broken and shipped anyway) resulting in a broken switch lever/handle. I will be returning the broken switch.Switch looks substantial, very good connections, weak part of the switch is the part that broke. For information, there is no common. 1 (left) has input and output connections, 0 (center) is off no connection to either 1 or 2 and 2 (right) has input and output connections. Since I need to use the switch to select the power source. I bridged the output from 1 and 2 so that when the switch is on 1 the motor gets power from source 1 and when the switch is on 2 the motor get power from source 2. If the switch is on 0 the motor receives no power.

Great for Shore/Battery power switch!
Great switch, good price & worked perfectly for my application. The switching configuration gives many ways to hook this up and achieve a lot of switching combinations. I was using to switch my RV from batteries and solar power, to AC shore power. It's capable of handling the high amperage and can switch all legs (pos. & neg.).A word of caution: The switch is made to mount on a thin surface (maybe 1/8" at the most). To mount it on the 7/8" thick bulkhead in my RV, I had to make a shaft extension that could attach to the switch shaft & fit into the knob. Although you can find literally dozens of these in 1/4" sizes, there are none I could find ANYWHERE in the rediculous metric 6mm. Hence, had to custom make on the lathe. Also had to find longer metric screws. Just lettin' ya know.

Bought two of these and one was broken on arrival
Good switches but not packaged well enough to protect them in the shipping process. Many items that come through shippers like UPS and the USPS look like they have been handled pretty harshly especially lately. I had to re-glue the damaged switch and it works well now for bypassing an inverter and solar with batteries array with the 30 amp shore power in a RV.

So far so good
I am still installing my system. I am convinced these 2 switches will be fine. However I have a question but I can't find a place to ask questions so I'm asking here.I am mounting two switches together. I have discovered that one switch is off by 45 degrees from the other. Which has 2 problems. The first issue is that the switch settings is pointing to the wrong place. The center position on the switch is pointing to the 2 on the face, with the other 2 settings pointing 45 degrees off. Second is that I want both switches to match so it won't confuse people. How do I adjust the position of the switch to point straight up for zero?

Just perfect
It does exactly what I wanted which is to switch between to electric pumps with a neutral position in between. Feels sturdy and is easy to install.Use your ohmmeter to test the internal connections between the poles. Not intuitive if you are not familiar.
