Baomain Universal Rotary Changeover Switch SZW26-63/D303.3 660V 63A 3 Position 3 Phase

Great switch, good price & worked perfectly for my application. The switching configuration gives many ways to hook this up and achieve a lot of switching combinations. I was using to switch my RV from batteries and solar power, to AC shore power. It's capable of handling the high amperage and can switch all legs (pos. & neg.). A word of caution: The switch is made to mount on a thin surface (maybe 1/8" at the most). To mount it on the 7/8" thick bulkhead in my RV, I had to make a shaft extension that could attach to the switch shaft & fit into the knob. Although you can find literally dozens of these in 1/4" sizes, there are none I could find ANYWHERE in the rediculous metric 6mm. Hence, had to custom make on the lathe. Also had to find longer metric screws. Just lettin' ya know.

I was installing a solar/inverter system in our RV and this box and the switch that goes inside it were required for the install. The box is perfect size, has knockouts in the right palces, has screw holes and the cover is made to match up with the rotary switch. I have my tesla nema 14-50 charger in a metal box but planned to upgrade to a dedicated tesla home charger (until they raised the price from $350 to $450!). Wanted to retain the option of using the 14-50 plug so customized the box with this switch to run both off the same circuit (but never at the same time). In the picture I have the 240v supply running to the back half of the switch with jumpers between bank (1/5/9) and bank (3/7/11). When the switch is in position 0, all contacts are disengaged in in the OFF position. When the switch is in position 1, bank (2/6/10) is energized and will eventually be connected to the breakers on the left which will run to the new Tesla home chargers. When the switch is in position 2, bank (4/8/12) is energized which is connected to the NEMA 14-50 outlet shown. The only thing I wish this came with is a cap or covers for prevent accidental contact with the exposed terminals. I have some electrical tape on it for now but will try to make something out of plastic. On the door, there is a dedicated power meter measuring how much power is being drawn at any given time.

This switch is a monster with solid contact points for each side. Moving the switch from one point to another gives a solid thunk. I used 6AWG wire for my connections and this switch had ample space and wire holding torque for this unwieldy gauge. I used this for switching between two 250V 50A circuits and have had no problems. I only gave a 4 star review because there were no wiring or mounting instructions with the device. I had to look at the pictures on the Amazon product page.

I love this switch, the parts and makeup are robust and hearty. the contactors design to take a load. BUT.... I took off the handle and faceplates to install it onto my project door and the handle key started sliding and one of the retainer washers slid out from center. i slid the the key back a little to adjust it and just like that, "snakes in a can" 15 or so springs, contactors and metal bits erupted across the room in every direction. It was so shocking and hilarious i didnt even get mad. I wouldnt even consider trying to reassemble it as it is a crucial piece of hardware for the on/off and rotation of my lathe. I have ordered another one, but it sure would have been great information to know. just a piece of electrical tape down each side before unscrewing anything and my lathe would be running now. It is a great product and perfect for on-off-reverse, the delay just sucks. just Be Warned!

Good switches but not packaged well enough to protect them in the shipping process. Many items that come through shippers like UPS and the USPS look like they have been handled pretty harshly especially lately. I had to re-glue the damaged switch and it works well now for bypassing an inverter and solar with batteries array with the 30 amp shore power in a RV.

Used this switch to replace a similar one from another company that died of old age on our boat. It is used for AC shore power, off (when using boat batteres) and AC inverter power. The only issue I had was not being careful enough when installing and it came to bits on me. While fiddly it was relatively easy to put back together and has been working exactly as it should.

Works great in our motorhome as a replacement for the automatic switch. Just need to remember to switch between generator and shore power manually now. We turn the switch off before connecting to shore power (electric pole at campsite) and then come inside to turn it on after verifying the shore power is wired properly. Our motorhome has a 30 amp system and this switch easily handles the power.

The switch feels solid when switching with nice athletics. It will easily accommodate #8 wire. I have only loaded it to 10 A so far with no measurable voltage drop. I am using it to switch potentially up to 30A 208V 3 phase power. One point, when the switch is in the neutral position it has a slight movement. This could be tightened in the manufacturing process with a friction detent of some kind, a minor issue. This and similar items on Amazon should specify what wire size the screw terminals will accommodate. This is a critical chronic deficiency on most items with wire screw terminals on all resellers sites. Maria
